| Morsy 14:46 - Nov 6 with 1815 views | Garv | I know we should all stop harping back to that era but we can't help it can we? Seeing KM mention he originally expected Azor to come in alongside Morsy is gut wrenching when you now see what has happened to Morsy. Imagine those two playing together? | |

| Morsy on 14:53 - Nov 6 with 1750 views | TractorJack | I'm gutted we didn't get him for 1 more season, I think we've missed him massively and would have been ideal to keep some continuity in the initial part of the season at least. As good as Azor has been, he isn't the same level as Morsy on the ball so far. Hopefully he'll get there though because it did take Morsy some time to improve with that. | | | |
| Morsy on 14:54 - Nov 6 with 1740 views | Cafe_Newman | It's his leadership that we miss most. As much as I like Dara as a likeable mainstay of the team his on pitch leadership is distinctly second best. | | | |

I dont think we would of had that onfield argument with Morsy in the middle. I personally think loosing Morsy, Delap and Hutch all in one window is to bigger holes to fill. 2 off them are forced but one we could of prevented

Wouldn't we? He played Morsy and Luongo together for 2+ years.

Presumably he was referring to Azor having played a lot more games than initially envisaged, ie because there’s no Morsy to gradually integrate him into the team. Which suggests the thinking wasn’t to play them as a pair, which makes sense to me.

Yeah and Matusiwa is nothing like Luongo.

Well given what KM said about expectations he would be playing... I think you have your answer there.

| Morsy on 16:15 - Nov 6 with 1236 views | franz_tyson | Definitely think we need a robust, defensive-minded CM to come in January. I'd prefer a younger version of Morsy, but if we can't get someone suitable - why not? It's possible he could train with us and allow us to look whether he still fits in and won't disrupt the dressing-room. If it's not a good fit... we say goodbye. If Morsy and Mass played well together so many times.. why can't Morsy and Matusiwa not work? | | | |

To add to that, I think the lack of a replacement captain is possibly Kieran and his team's greatest failing. Captain Morsy has been the hardest position to replace. We need a strong leader on the pitch and the only current player I feel that may be up to the job is Azor. Better still perhaps, spending big on a first choice goalie with leadership qualities may be the best long term solution.
| Morsy on 18:17 - Nov 6 with 1027 views | Swansea_Blue | We knew at the time it was the plan to have them both. It would have been ideal, but unfortunately footballers and agents only value money (which then didn’t materialise anyway). We’d have all forgotten about Morsy had we managed to buy Hackney though. That’s the one who would have made a difference. | |

Disagree. Bring him home if he will come for the rest of the season. His experience, leadership and general quality would be huge. What an option off the bench he would be. Rent him a house (if he has sold his, no idea), give him a signing bonus and bring him home to get his third medal.

I see people saying that, but I dont agree he's been doing everything Morsy did in games. And it was him stepping into deal with both of them on the pitch, and it never blew up again did it. And no one complained about his leadership against Norwich did they. Our People! Even Morsy never beat Norwich. OShea is just learning leadership is lonely,.success has many fathers but failure is an orphan and everyone is out to get you. Back the guy. Get behind the team

Who knows what his current condition is like (I'm sure he won't have gone off the rails by any stretch), but if he was still contracted to us he would still be a quality midfielder at this level.

| Morsy on 21:08 - Nov 6 with 658 views | WestSussexBlue | For me his leadership off the field would be so invaluable. Just to have him around the club would be good for all. Probably not since the days of Magiilton have I see a player bring players together for the cause. | | | |
