Could be heading to Wolves? Would be a huge blow for Boro.

Thats a much better appointment by Wolves. If it weakens a team above us its good news for us. Lets hope it happens

It's possible but they have a decent chance of being in the mix, it's a reasonable squad and something like the 4th or 5th highest squad value in the Championship

I assume Edwards would view Wolves as am established PL side and even if they are relegated, he will have a far higher budget

Equally weird that they’re after him.

He had one season in the PL.

Admittedly he made a slightly better fist of it than we did, achieving more points with a vastly lower outlay, but I don’t think he’s going to have the instant impact Pereira did last time round.

And before the glass completely full brigade wade in, yes I know the PL was far poorer quality in 23/24, mysteriously morphed into a super league in 24/25 and has now regressed back to 23/24 levels because Sunderland are making a far better fist of it..

I guess its because he played for Wolves.

Similar to how some fans have called for x-players like Terry Butcher, Tony Mowbray etc to be Town manager.

So a thread on the Middlesbrough manager potentially moving to Wolves has been turned neatly into a beat up of ITFCs season in the Premier League with a little dose of Sunderland thrown in.

Nicely done! Congratulations, you must be pleased with that. When you next wash those bedsheets, I suggest you use the tumble dryer. Bit damp outside now, so I’d avoid using the clothes line. If you are getting through too many, there’s some good offers in Asda at the moment.

Back to the thread, Edward’s is a good manager. If Wolves take him, they need to stick by him. Unfashionable, a bit stupid maybe, but wheeling somebody in and binning them if they don’t get instant success is nuts.

I actually think he’d be better off staying at Middlesbrough who have a decent side, a good fanbase and an owner who will give him time.

I think Luton made a better fist of it two years ago than we did last year, so I agree, Edwards is a decent manager.

I think Sunderland have nearly matched our points haul already.

You enjoyed our stab at it though and thought we made a decent fist of it, which is fair enough.

As for my bedsheet situation, nursey just gets me a fresh rubber sheet for maximum bed wetting as we’re not allowed to have a clothes line.

We gave it a go until Christmas then fell apart. We just weren’t well enough prepared, but unlike Norwich who just stuck their @rses in the air, at least the club tried.

No I didn’t enjoy the season at all and you will find no post of mine that ever said i did. VAR and the cr@p around the Premier League annoyed me too. But we should strive to be at the top of the game, despite that.

The difference is I don’t let it eat me up (more important things in life) and tend to look objectively and to the future. Grizzling about what others did or are doing is of no interest whatsoever to me, beyond being pleased for a couple of mackem friends. I don’t do bitterness and jealousy. I leave that to others. Often the bedsheet bawlers.

The thread is about the potential move of Edwards to Wolves.

Think Boro have rejected the approach, IDK if thats changed or if there is a release clause. He played a lot of games for Wolves, not sure he'd take it though, given the position of bith clubs

I don't think Wolves is a great opportunity, especially for a 42 years old hopefully progressive manager. The owners haven't been investing in the squad & they look doomed to a struggle .They need a Sean Dyche-type but he's gone & bizarrely they're believed to have been talking to Gary O'Neill, who was found wanting last year.
