I know he missed a sitter 17:56 - Nov 22 with 1045 viewsGarv

But McAteer could and arguably should have come on 10 minutes earlier.

Poor bloke gets so much stick just because he came from Leicester and is 4 years older than Walle-Egeli and yet the latter gets a pass for limp performances. He had so much of the ball second half and just seemed either unwilling or unable to go on the outside of his man. He wasn't awful by any stretch but we came inside aimlessly so so often.

McAteer would at least have offered some directness and a bit of pace as a proper right winger, but we gave him 8 minutes. It felt a fairly big admission from McKenna that he didn't fancy him, when we were creating nothing down that side (or any other side for that matter). If anything, it wouldn't have been a terrible idea to put Clarke wide right.

On the right wing theme, I felt really underwhelmed by Furlong again today. I'd love to know who of our players had the most touches today because he must have been close, but he never really offered any proper forward drive or overlapping, better first half in that respect but very little second. I don't think Young or Johnson are the answer. I'd love to see if Harry Clarke could get some game time from the cold.

Walle Egeli limp performance today? Were you watching a different game to me?

We all want him to come good. But over the season so far how many quality moments has he delivered. Its not his fault we drew nil nil. But I really don't think him playing more makes us better.

It’s written in the mangers handbook substitutions are on 70mins. But, Today for the first time I can ever remember, he made a substitution on 65 mins. Was this a panic move for him?

I meant generally. In fairness to him his limp performances came earlier in the season, and he has improved to be fair.

But he wasn't exactly lighting things up today was he? Did he beat the full once second half or put one good cross in?

The main point was that he wasn't getting any joy and all our space was down the right. It was crying out for a MacAteer or Burns type.

My memory's deteriorating as I get older, too.

Yes, he did put a decent cross in more than one actually. After Azon, maybe, he was out best attacking player today.

McAteer did nothing but get caught offside and miss a sitter when he came on.

Sinders was no worse than anyone else, and better than most.

McAteer was again awful. At least spell his name right.

Might have helped if he'd been given a few more minutes though, especially as the player he replaced wasn't really creating anything or using the space that was available to him.

I'm not knocking Sindre. I'm saying McAteer should get less stick, not that Sindre should get more.

Hit the first man, or missed everyone, with every cross he had.

Created nothing

Bring him on earlier to do what, stand by the linesman be be offside?

He’s not good enough to be in a promotion chasing team, worryingly though, I think that’s not what we are

the amount of space and time Furlong and Sindre had on the right, more should have been achieved. Many times Sindre drifted inwards with the ball when there was a good overlap from Furlong available.

He gets stick because he's not particularly good and we paid about ten times what he is worth. The transfer fee wasn't exactly his fault, of course, but it doesn't help things.

Who sanctioned that? Leicester were laughing at us at the time. It’s insanity! I’d literally rather Ogbene was still here.

Uppie for the mention of Harry Clarke. Would offer so much more than Furlong and Ben Johnson. The signing of Young just looks bizarre with him rarely getting on the pitch.
