Some really embarrassing fans throwing our manager under the bus tonight… 23:02 - Dec 2 with 1702 viewsipswichtillidie

Lots of entitled fans forgetting where we have come from and how far the club has come. A few days ago a win would have taken us second. Tin pot or what.

What is tinpot is defending a manager who has come up short for all of 2025 and is on £5m salary a year.

You missed economics class didn't you? McKenna has had support all this calendar year, trust me a lot of clubs would have turned before with the second half of PL season and the start of this year.

It's inevitable there will be some questions at this point with performances and results.

Just because we were underinvested and crap for two decades i has nothing to do with gamechanger appointments in that sense.

Smell the coffee, the pressure was always going to be on this season!

I’d say ‘Fringes of the Championship Playoffs’ is basically our average / expected position of the last 20 odd years or so.

Hard to use the “how far we’ve come” line, compared to last season.

Entitled fans? Now?

Supporters were rebelling against Mick McCarthy around a decade ago, when he was getting a squad of frees and loans no one else wanted to around the league position we are now. Looking back, with hindsight, THAT was entitled.

When all the boo boys have left the forum later tonight and put their knickers back ON before bed time, I’ll be getting some support from the level headed experience journey MEN/women on here sometime tomorrow I’d imagine.

Yep. People either have short memories or weren't here for losing to Lincoln etc.

Think it's pretty disrespectful to be calling for KM's head.

Our average was 15th more like. Fringes of play offs was often a dream season and we even made finishing 7th seem somehow a million miles off.

I really want KM to stay and figure it out but of course now pressure is ramped up.

What's annoying are these ridiculous posts calling people spoilt for questioning recruitment and performance, at the moment its not good enough and macro level there are some concerning trends in games.

I do feel theres a few who really don't appreciate the level of spending we did and what that should give you as this level minimum

Yes of course theres other things that make a team a winning one but dear God £180 odd mill what ever it is over 18 months and our only shot on target prior to our 94th minute goal was from a cb. That is obsurd

Can you read ? I mentioned only our manager and the reference of “throwing him under the bus” in my OP. You seem to have come to a lot of other conclusions there.

Nowhere good enough tonight or the past eighteen months, despite a whopping salary. Remarkable he appears under no pressure at all!

Factually correct yes but we’ve also come from a league one 2 and a half seasons ago. The only reason you use the phrase “Premier league” in part in due to KM so perhaps that should be worth remembering when we have a poor performance and still manage to nick a point away from home.

Correct and player fees at PL level are hugely over inflated and essentially we’ve paid PL prices this year again haven’t we trying to recruit Players. On the face of it some of the signings don’t look great! Yes I’m in that corner as well but..: sack the manager? Come on your deluded.

You're right. We've come along way since the Southern Anateur League in 1907 and we should be grateful where we are.
Or, you could say that we should be looking for continual improvement and not regression, especially as the improvement has facilitated the investment in players that we have undertaken.
Out of interest, what is your tipping point where questioning our manager isn't 'entitlement' but genuine concerns for our continued success. What has to happen where it isn't entitlement anymore. Not 11 wins in 56 games or a performance like the last two games or 10s of millions spent on players who looked uninterested, obviously. But what actually is it?
