You don't tend to hear it as players don't usually react well to being spoken about that way in the public eye. Is he going to be due his next pay-off from Sheffield Utd soon?

He’s just trying to shake the players up. They’ve been on a really good run.
It wasn’t to the level of Cook’s blow ups and despite being annoyed I don’t think he said anything particularly out of order. It was no different to McKenna saying the Blackburn mess was not the standard expected really. Just put in more in ya face terms.

With very few exceptions, this generally never ends well for managers. He's been training, picking and setting tactics for those players. The Lambert Gambit of blaming your players rarely works unless you're basically Alex Ferguson.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
That was the 3rd game in 7 days for both teams. No doubt a number of players were simply knackered. Maybe they don't have great squad depth, but for ITFC this is very much the sort of thing that McKenna will be seeing and why he will swap out at least 5 players today. I even wonder if we could see Cam Humphries feature today.
That's what happens when players take it for granted they will beat the opposition, simply because the opposition is on a bad run. Arrogance and entitlement. The SU fans probably also thought it was going to be a simple 3 points, but that's not how football works. You have to respect the opposition.

The warning signs were there on Tuesday when, despite being decimated by illness on and off the pitch, they still let themselves down badly with a poor draw against a very poor League One standard team.

Yeah and to be fair he didn't actually call certain players out, that's a line you never cross...
