We’re not consistent enough.
Our general play has been so far below par all season.
Jack Taylor was our 4th choice and 5th choice in midfield in last 2 seasons and now is starting games, fair enough he was good in a couple but the last couple of games shows why he was 4th and 5th choice.
Hirst and Azon are not good enough and that’s now a fact after 20 games.
Away from home we look a different team.
And if we go behind, it almost feels as if we’ve got no chance of winning a game. A complete opposite to our previous promotion team. If the going gets tough. We crumble which is a massive concern.

If we can't sort that out, the autos aren't going to be achievable.

Just bumping this thread from a couple of weeks ago to show how quickly football can change and why reactive absolutist posts rarely age well.
There's still a lot of football to be played and ultimately where we are in May is what matters most, but writing off our automatic promotion hopes less than halfway through the season was always completely daft. |

All I can say is this, take a look at the current form ( last 6 matches ) for the Championship, it's available on here. You'll see both Coventry and Middlesborough aren't even in the top 10! If we're not consistent enough ( and at times that's been a fair comment ), we are not alone! | | | |

Do these threads need bumping herbs? Seen somebody doing the same with Furlong earlier. It's unnecessary. If we fail to finish in the top 2 will you bump it agains? Doubtful.
As it is, I've been consistent in my belief that we will be promoted in the automatic places. Although I stuck my neck out a little further and said it would be as Champions. I stand by that. But I'm not going to lnk all those posts in a game of willy waving.
Football is about opinions. In the grand scheme of life, opinions on whether a football team will be top 2 or not are way down the list. Agree or disagree with those options at the time rather than dragging them up weeks or months later. |

There is a difference, you're correct. However, at the same point in time, you needed something to change in order for us to make the top 2.
So you were pretty much saying if we carried on, we wouldn't make the top 2. Which you could argue the OP at the time was basically saying, if things stay the same, we have no chance of the top 2.

I agree with this part.
While I do find calling out the persistently negative people funny. I do also find it a bit tedious. Not as tedious as the posts the first time around though. [Post edited 3 Jan 3:15]
