| So Nunez 19:54 - Dec 23 with 2446 views | FrimleyBlue | Just saw something on twitter to make me write this But what a steal from nodge. Of course it wasn't a small fee but not outlandish like we put out for some. But what we have paid looks amazing for the return potential. Hes possibly one of the worst for controlling a ball but he makes up for it with his passing and attempts at creating opportunities across the pitch. Possibly one of the best signings under the ownership | |

| So Nunez on 20:13 - Dec 23 with 2279 views | LeoMuff | I’m not sure I would go too overboard, if he lands on the ball in a bit of space facing the opposing goal he is fantastic, but in many other aspects he seems fairly average. We have levered him into the 10 spot which doesn’t really suit but needs must. Doesn’t feel like a player than parachute clubs would bite our hand off for if asked. But is improving and may well prove me wrong hopefully. | |

Think he's been very good, plays the 10 role very well, he's the type of 10 we need in the team to link play, not the 2nd striker type we've attempted with Akpom and Szmodics. Obviously his biggest impact though is from set pieces, which have been phenomenal. They've given us another genuine way to score goals which could be crucial this season.
| So Nunez on 20:37 - Dec 23 with 2067 views | Nutkins_Return | Good signing as he has something a bit different. I'm not convinced by him in 10 still as his back to goal play isn't fantastic. He lacks pace and athleticism but you get him facing the opposition goal and he has bags of quality on the ball. The sort of player Cam can learn a lot from. He is quite frustrating sometimes as he gets outmuscled or falls over. But then he'll do something Bruno Fernandes like and all is forgiven. The makings of a cult hero. | |

| So Nunez on 20:56 - Dec 23 with 1937 views | FromReuserWithLove | I like him because he takes risks. He looks for the forward pass and to get his shot away - although this can be frustrating sometimes when he chooses the impossible shot over the simple pass that's on. As with Philo, that's what you have to accept in order to get those moments of magic. | | | |

I agree. You are always going to have to take some frustrations with players who will play killer passes as the percentages will always be lower for them coming off but the rewards so high. Unbelievable ability over set pieces as well. Let's face it if he was quick and a few other bits he wouldn't be playing for us!

| So Nunez on 21:13 - Dec 23 with 1799 views | RIPbobby | Nunez is so unorthodox that makes him a little unpredictable. In a funny kind of way reminds me of Christophe Berra. Teams used to look at his attributes and think they should get at him, but he always seemed to find a way to dominate them. The one thing I would criticise him for is that he seems to prefer a lofted pass when a nice pass rolled across the turf would suffice. It seems to work, but just makes it more tricky for the recipient. | | | |

Obviously fan favs is an individual thing. But with 11 starts 6 assists its not a bad total so far. Averages 3 chance creations per 90 minutes. I love the bloke.

5 assists Love Nunez, one of those players that’s a joy to watch when he’s on it plus a clear fan favourite from the start.

Assists can be a funny stat. The goalie passes it to someone, they run past 9 men and score they get an assist. I'd imagine at least one of his assists is a philogene wonder strike. To say he's a better signing than Delap or Hutchinson absurd. We must think he's OK for the PL if we get there cos why would we have bothered forking out £10m on him. I hope he gets better. I didnt say he was a better signing than them I said to me hes one of the best. I do appreciate the assist thing. But I feel his creativity overall is key and what I love above him.

The main thing I notice him doing really well and arguably better than anyone else in the front four this season, is taking the ball on the half turn and moving it quickly before the opposition have time to react. We’ve missed that trait BIG time this season, and Nunez really tries it. Egeli tries a lot of first time switches, but these are largely the same ball (big onward curving left footed switch to Philogene), which makes them somewhat easy to defend if they come off. I love the vision though.
| So Nunez on 23:58 - Dec 23 with 974 views | Churchman | I don’t think it’s about who is better than who signings wise. Or about money. People (not aiming at you) are far too hooked up on that, as if they have any idea what a player cost or is ‘worth’. It’s about what he brings. But about Nunez - I think he can be scruffy with the ball at times. He can try stupid stuff. His finishing can be woeful. It’s not a natural part of his game, but at least he gets in good positions to score. He’s not a big bloke so can be brushed off the ball at times. However, I think Nunez is a terrific player. He is a bubbly, infectious character. He wants to be involved and demands the ball. He is brave, I think his control at times is excellent and likes to get stuck in. It’s little wonder he has a few assists. His weight of pass for Philogene on Saturday was perfect, for example. He made something quite difficult look easy. His dead ball kicking is a pain in the rear end for the opposition. I like his feistiness too. But most of all, everything he does is progressive; forwards. When in form he ups the tempo of how we are playing and we suddenly look very dangerous. For me if fit, he starts and the more he plays the better he’ll be. Can he play at a higher level? Potentially yes if he can tidy up his play a little. | | | |
| So Nunez on 08:30 - Dec 24 with 450 views | ArnieM | Just wondering, if we hadn't have nicked him from scum, and all that one upmanship bragging rights etc, how would people view him if he'd joined us from another club? | |

| So Nunez on 08:37 - Dec 24 with 391 views | Herbivore | I like him and he's decent but I don't think he's pulling up trees. He's been more effective than others in that 10 role this season as he links play up well at times although he's also careless in possession quite often and loses the ball too easily. That worries me if/when we're playing him deeper and at Brizzle he was really bad for giving the ball away in dangerous areas when we gave him a go in his favoured role. I think he's at his best later in games when it gets a bit more broken and there's more space opening up. He brings a bit of chaos, a bit like Azon and Clarke, and can make things happen in that stage of the game. Ideally I'd like to see us bring in a better 10. People keep saying we don't need a second striker there but we kinda do, in our promotion seasons Chappers was our top goalscorer as a 10 and frequently go on the end of moves in and around the box. Yes, he could also drop in and link play too but he was very effective at finding the net. We miss that as much as his ability to link play. | |

His work rate off the ball, to try win the ball and create something is what keeps the heat off of him. There’s a quality player in there, as the team strengthens and improves he will be a real asset and total steel in my opinion.

For me, I’d view him exactly the same way. I couldn’t care a less what club he came from tbh. The Norwich people beating themselves up over it is funny, but totally irrelevant. I know my views are more positive on him than most, but I do believe he will get more effective the more games he plays and the more the current players get to know each others’ game.

The Nodge factor can work both ways though. If he'd had a more rocky start or wasn't impressing, we'd be on him twice as hard and complaining that we should never have signed a scummer. High risk, high reward.

| So Nunez on 10:00 - Dec 24 with 138 views | EddyJ | He has been one of our better signings in the past 18 months. Moves the ball quickly, good set pieces, creativity. He offers something that we don't have elsewhere in the squad. I do get annoyed about how hyped he is by fans, just because of the Norwich connection. He had a song before he'd played a minute for us. | | | |
| So Nunez on 10:12 - Dec 24 with 94 views | SuperKieranMcKenna | He’s hit and miss in terms of first touch and ball retention otherwise he’d be in the prem. BUT as a creative player he’s one of the best in the league and something we’ve sorely missed. Only 2 players have more assists in the Champ and both will have had more minutes. Definitely a great signing, I suspect we’d miss him massively if he was to be out injured. What has happened to Leif, his set pieces, crosses have really dropped off and his goal assists have all but disappeared in the last 18 months? | | | |
