He's a very different footballer. "Vastly superior" is a ridiculous piece of trolling.

He is great but you are wrong there. Morsy better going fowards and around the box, Matusiwa better at turning the ball over and shielding

| Matusiwa on 22:16 - Dec 29 with 990 views | portmanking | I actually think he would've dovetailed brilliantly *alongside* Morsy. Azor being the interceptor and defensive screen, with Morsy the aggressor and the one starting off attacks from the CBs. What could've been.... | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Definitely a better player than Moray, at the same age Morsy had a smattering of second tier appearances but had mostly been buzzing around the third and fourth tier, whereas Matusiwa looks class at this level and has largely played top flight football in the Netherlands and France so far in his career. Morsy was great for us but you can see the difference in pedigree, imo.

We just don't need to have that conversation though do we. Both brilliant with different qualities. Love Azor!

Agreed, though we had a match made in heaven for 18 months as it was (and Morsy was never a PL midfielder imo, so don't feel last year was a "could've been" scenario). Where Luongo and Morsy certainly have the edge for now is in carrying a genuine goal threat, but Matusiwa is a defensive powerhouse unlike that which I've seen in a Town shirt previously.

| Matusiwa on 22:41 - Dec 29 with 775 views | SuperKieranMcKenna | His reading of the game and general football intelligence doesn’t get spoken about enough. He always seems to know where the loose ball is going to be and get to it first. Also drops back and helps out at the back when teams break. A huge part of the improvement in our defensive record. | | | |

It's like he could go unnoticed to the untrained eye. But when you watch him, he protects the defenders superbly, drifts wide to support the wingers and full backs when the opposition attack down the flanks, and just breaks up play brilliantly in the middle. I'm in love...

Shush troll. We won, it’s a great night. Morsy is a legend, Matusiwa is very good too, but has a long way to go to match Sam!

What do achievements at a single club have to do with how good a player is? You're mixing up two completely different things. SB

Would be ok to see him pick up #10 at Oxford - miss Portsmouth, play against Blackpool in the cup, miss Blackburn then back for Bristol.

Has a long way to go to match Morsy with his achievements of course but it’s ok for people to say that he’s a better player than SM.
