Was Keiran asked for an update on Jadens fitness as I have been told a nasty rumour hopefully untrue.

We only know that he was going for a scan as the last time McKenna spoke was post match on Saturday, so we should find out tonight - I doubt he’ll be in the squad though.

He walked off the pitch very smoothly so hopefully not too bad.

I've just been told it's 6 weeks but it's not the most reliable source so fingers crossed.

*If* it is 6 weeks, it could be a blessing. Galatasaray have been sniffing for a few weeks and were readying a bid in the region of €35m.

I thought that. We were 2-0 up with Clarke waiting in the wings, there was no point him staying on and risking it. Will be interesting to find out, though.

I wonder how much a team would have to offer us this January for us to actually consider selling him?

*I don't for a second think he'll go in January

Wonder if this explains the interest in Mehmeti.

£30m I'd take it. Yes he's scored some fantastic goals and we need a player like him in this division, but not sure he's as good in the prem, and would allow us to buy a couple of £15m replacements (a direct replacement and a striker)

Have you not noticed his work rate on the pitch? He has improved so much this season it really is quite astonishing.

I know that the PL is a totally different level but I feel that he deserves his chance in the PL (if we get promoted…which we will).

Exactly. Add in that he is 23 years old! Hardly like it is last chance saloon with his Prem capability.

I wouldn’t sell him. We will need him for the future. We have few great players willing to join us which is why two windows running incoming players have been slow to step forward. We had Hackney and Bamford in the building and still lost them.

I always worry that someone's going to snap him, but he seems to be able to hold his own physically - largely due to his agility I think - in the Championship. And of course he's special level ability wise.

I'm not sure whether his lightweight physique would work well in the PL still, but he's got enough about him for it to be a possibility.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!

I wouldn’t sell him either but for £50m… it would be hard to argue imo

If he's worth 30m but not good enough for the prem, then how is his direct replacement at half the price going to be good enough?

The Mehmeti interest certainly seems coincidental timing, however assume the source of this rumour wasn’t the one that said Szmodics would never play for us again…

So many wannabe ITK’s spreading enough muck they hope something will hit the mark!

He's vital for us in the championship. Good enough to fire us up ,but not good enough for Premier..if we go up ,we will have the 3 coming down biting our hands off offering 30 million..we will take it and invest in a good experienced bulked up striker

I think it's far from certain he couldn't contribute in the PL as a squad player.

And you really think the relegated clubs are going to SMASH the Championship record? That's close to twice the current record (Walle Egeli).

Well Jayden himself was £20m, and that's while we were a Premier League team paying PL prices with the English player premium. I don't think it unreasonable we could find another winger with our supposedly improved scouting network for 15m from abroad.

And let's be honest last season he was miles off the level in the prem. By the number of down votes on my first post it seems I'm in a minority with this opinion. For what its worth I believe he lacks the physicality for the Prem, like Jack Clarke, and just bounces off Premiership defenders.

Also its a rich Turkish club rumoured to be paying that 30m. I can't see a Prem team interested in him or paying that for him.

I don't particularly want him to go, thats not what I'm pushing for. But I'm saying at 30m I'd take it to reinvest in a couple of additions to help us get promoted.

I don't mean to be rude, but this just sounds like a Football Manager approach. Casually pick up a couple of £15m players who will be better than Jaden.

Been widely discussed (inc. by KM) that he had injuries last season and played almost exclusively on the right, which he doesn't enjoy. He also only started five games for us.

Judging him on that feels incredibly harsh.

He's the Championship's most dangerous left winger by a margin and more than deserves a shot at the PL next season.
