Have to say that I feel if we really wanted Surridge we could get him. We might have to pay over the odds but we'd get him.

I really hope that the club have a plan for a number of scenarios today including a last minute fall back. Signing nobody to help a glaring weakness when we have plenty of money to throw at it would be just negligent.
Don't have much trust in the recruitment team / policy at the club based on previous dealings but hopefully today they will prove me wrong. [Post edited 2 Feb 11:58]

Better league, step upmon career, we could afford the fee pretty comfortably I think and his wages. As you say he may be very happy in the States and if so fair play but to my mind you want to test yourself at the highest level possible.
If not thats not a winning mentality in my eyes, nothing wrong with that but to be truly successful I think its needed | |
