Without wanting to diminish any sexual crimes by any group, that sounds like a hugely implausible number. Do you have the info or data to back it up?

The only stats I can find is that sexual assaults in females by foreign nationals accounted for up to 34.27% of convictions and rapes by foreign nationals accounted for up to a quarter (approx 22%–27%) of convictions. Which means foreign nationals are disproportionately represented in convictions compared to their estimated 9.3% to 10.9% share of the population.
Sky News fact checked Farage's claims that "An Afghan male has a 22 times more likely chance of being convicted of rape than somebody born in this country"
The concluded that from figures from the Office for National Statistics, Afghans are closer to three times more likely to be convicted of a sexual offence than someone born in the UK.
I'm massively pro immigration and support the "Refugees Welcome" movement but there is no sugar coating some of the trends we are seeing. Not sure how we get those disproportionate figures down. Better education? The threat Immediate deportation on conviction? [Post edited 2 Feb 14:06]

This is probably going to get a nuclear reaction but when people are born and raised in a country with very different attitudes is it any wonder there are issues when they suddenly find themselves in a liberal democracy?
Just to be clear I am not suggesting all immigrants are an issue and also I am certainly not excusing any crimes committed. I just don't think it's all that surprising or something we should bury our heads in the sand about that there are a disproportionate number of issues. | |

if we allow for age and income, i bet it'd be closer, but as to how we get the numbers down:-
i'd agree on education, as well as inclusion, so many are given no support to assimilate once they're in the country, and it's left to under-resourced charities to plug the gaps. | |

As someone who pointed out to me that "People should not have their political views defined by their ethnicity", perhaps it is worth taking a second to consider other factors that may be at play here
I don't have stats to hand but what is the socio-economics of those groups, the ages, the education levels etc. Rather than just foreign national = more likely to offend, could it be that more foreign nationals are part of certain other demographic splits and therefore more likely to offend?
Essentially, defining someone by their ethnicity when it comes to crime stats will only ever give you a one-sided view of the problem |  | | |
