I posted it at half time. In hindsight I preferred anonymous over outright dire.

Nowhere near regular starter ready. Banging them in against lower-mid Danish teams is akin to League 1.

| Sindre the friendly ghost on 21:48 - Feb 13 by Nutkins_Return | Such absolutely ridiculous hyperbole. I thought he had a really poor last 5-10 mins. Before that he was 6/10. Not shocking at all. Just not great. And yet every now and again he plays a fantastic ball through/over lines or delivery into the box. It's nowhere near enough yet for him to play regularly. But he has to develop, get consistent and impact games much more consistently. But he's 19 in a brand new country and arguably the most competitive and demanding division going in terms or intensity and constant games. |
Mate - with respect, we could probably play any member of this message board in his position and “every now and again” they’d come up with something half decent…

He can still train with the first team. We cant find a place for an 18 year old winger on the bench But we can put a 19 hear old one on just because we spent money on him.

His scared of his own shadow , doesn’t challenge for balls , loses the ball , can’t cut in , can’t pass 5 yards he offers nothing ! Had we not spent £17m on him I suspect we would have loaned him to a league 1 side in January as he offers us nothing at all

We would be putting him in the same bracket as Al-Hamadi had we not spent 18 million. 18 million!

Playing the guy who is the most expensive champ player ever in the 21s would an absolute shambles.

| Sindre the friendly ghost on 20:37 - Feb 13 by BouncebackIpswich | Difference between starting team and the back ups. Greaves, Egeli, Mcateer, Hirst - not good enough. Baggott doesn't look anywhere near ready either. Johnson been ok as has Akpom although still think he's better up front. |
I don't agree with Greaves not being good enough and McAteer laid a goal on a plate for Hirst. Egeli clearly isn't a number 10 and was better once McAteer was pulled and he moved wide. I admit he's not looking like a £17 million pound player at the moment. As for Hirst well what do you say. The guy is seriously struggling, but what do we have instead ? Azon, a really likeable chap who I'd imagine every man and his dog would love to see him as another Pablo Counago. There's no doubt the guy tries, wins more balls in the air than Hirst and I feel brings more to the team than Hirst. It's that extra bit of magic and those important things called goals that he lacks. Akpom not for me I'm afraid. Managed to miss the goal with a header from two yards out.. Whether we can attain that second spot without an out and out striker we shall see. I feel there will be a backlash at the end of the season if we fail and it's seen that the No.9 position was to blame. I don't think the January window was the time to address that as there's not that much available. I suppose we could have tried for the Budgies striker that's out of favour. But a) Would they sell to us and b) If they would sell would it have been more than we would be prepared to pay.

People were saying the same about Clarke and Philogene in their first few months. I believe he'll come good.

I still think both Philogene and Clarke flatter to deceive for the most part, and they're proven and experienced at this level. They can have games they dominate and control, but they can also look really flat and have no influence whatsoever. In fairness, that can be said for the majority of our players this season, and why we can swat one team away, then struggle against the next. Early goals play a massive part.

Maybe, but even the best have below oar games. The point I was making was that for their first few months here they were written off as a waste of money, just like people are with Sindre and now they are gamechangers in the majority of our matches when they play.
