I think what Benters is alluding to is that the bloke who harassed Matt Lucas is a Muslim convert called Thomas Abdullah Bourne.

The traditional knuckle draggers aren’t really the ones to worry about - yes, some are violent and are scum, but they’ll usually get pissed and then fight amongst themselves. In between that, they’ll sellotape JJB flags to the lamp posts and paint roundabouts in the rain.
The ones to worry about are the ones in suits who use the Internet to promote their cause / and they are doing that really well.

It does appear that some people seem to be telling someone that has explained their links to a minority group, how to post and raise awareness about the increasing threats against that minority group.

The issue is that a man was going about his business minding his own business was picked on by a specimen with a phone who knew he couldn’t do anything about it. There is no justification for it whatsoever.
It was and is disgusting. I couldn’t give a monkeys whether the victim, because that is what he was, was Jewish, Arabic, Persian, African, Chinese, black, brown, white, male, female, Klingon or one of the Wombles.

Find it absolutely insane that this even needs saying, but canvassing for a boycott campaign is not a “Jew hunt”, and to suggest otherwise requires level of mental gymnastics which must make day-to-day life pretty torturous for anybody who thinks in that way.
Anybody who has ever canvassed in elections or anything else will know that it’s an entirely normal and accepted practice to record those who are supportive and those who aren’t interested - I’m pretty sure somebody from Hello Fresh wrote down that I wasn’t interested in whatever it was they were offering me a couple of weeks ago.
The insinuation that an old man in Sheffield is preparing for a Kristellnact is almost as laughable as it is offensive.
I would also suggest that there's some glaring hypocrisy in those insinuating that this is a “Jew hunt” being the same people who enthusiastically support the work of pressure groups like GnasherJew, which uses OSINT to dox and publicly shame anti-zionists - frequently leading to people being harassed or having their livelihoods ruined - all in the name of combating antisemitism, apparently. | |
