I like the retro, 23/24, edge of the seat vibe that the team treated us to for the last 15 😂

Painful last 15 minutes, played like a completely different team.

I was so close to taking the dog out for a walk on 90 minutes.

Not sure why - I get the importance of the result, but Hull never looked like scoring. Just had a bit of possession at the end. It’s not like previous years where we had a bit of a flaky defence, we are okay to concede possession and just contain them.

Ha I almost did the same.

Bet365 has ruined watching football for me. Ita always a minute ahead so I just nervously watched that for 15 minutes

They always have a goal in them when Boaty McBoatface is on the pitch.

You're luckly you weren't listening to Hull commentry:

"We don't deserve to lose"
"Everything's gone to plan so far (upto the goal)"
"We've made Ipswich look very ordinary"

I mean, jeez if they have to watch that shite week in, week out, no wonder they've lost their minds.

Last 10 they were good, had to be their game plan..

Their game plan was to go behind and then play a bit in the last 10?

Nah they just came for a 0-0 and offered very little. Then had to throw the kitchen sink after going behind and still didn’t break us down. We were solid.

I mean they came to defend and yeah either get the 0-0 or go for it once they were behind, thought they were damn good that last ten, we struggle when teams throw everything at us at times...total panic

I think the Clarke miss just allowed a load of nervous energy around the whole ground and in the players.

On one hand understandable as a massive game. But we need to be a bit better in those circumstances. Clarke scores and it was going to be such a comfortable end.

Wasn't that comfortable.
Team seemed to lose their heads.
Mad decisions, poor passing etc

Like you, I was one of the " unlucky " ones! I think they must have been kept awake by copious amounts of coffee! You don't deserve to lose when you have no attempts on target? Must be thrill a minute stuff at the MKM!

I’d say it doesn’t get any more comfortable than not conceding a shot on target for a whole game. Yes Hull we more composed on the ball for 10 mins out of 90, but we didn’t give them a sniff. At no point was I panicking, that was as comfortable a win as you could possibly hope for. Could have given Walton the day off!

Disagree. There were a few important claims by Walton and some important blocks/rushed clearances etc. byt the defence. You must be on valium if you thought that was comfortable!

We didn't manage that game out particularly well if we're honest. Of course the game state shifted once they had nothing to lose, but we were pretty sloppy in possession and made it hard for ourselves.

Still, we got over the line and that's all that matters.

It was a bit manic in the final 10 minutes, where we lost a bit of composure.

However, it does illustrate what a bad idea it often is just to 'lump' the ball away - as some on here often call for. You lump it up field, and guess what - 9 times out of 10 you lose possession, and the opposition just come back at you. Had we worked to hold onto the ball more in the final 10, the pressure would have been reduced.

I felt pretty calm throughout. Gave the ball away far too many times in the middle but was confident we'd defend our box.

I don’t think you can get more comfortable than the other team not even registering a shot on target.

KM seems to agree that ‘we limited them to nothing’.
