I've got to get me some of what you're on. I don't know what kind of dreadful first half performance, calamitous defending and poor game management would draw criticism from you. Yes, we came back from two down, showed some heart but at 2-2 we let Stoke back into it and they should've gone 3-2 up. You stay happy though, it's the way to be I guess.

Fought back with spirit and showed great resilience.

Yes, but stunk the place out all 1st half. And weak-willed game management at the end. Not good enough to get up. And certainly not good enough to stay up.

If you can't be proud of this manager and how he conducts self and the way the players fought back in that half then what can you be proud of?

Last time I was at Stoke was 2019 relegation season. Club is in different place and I love how KM gets his teams playing and competing.

Whatever happens happens. Gutting end but that was spirit and determination that got us back in it

It was a very good reaction and we deserved more from it, but here we are. The silver lining is we can come back from a seemingly impossible position. I wasn’t convinced we could, so I’ll hang on to that positive and try to forget the diving Stoke player and useless c*** of a ref. That comeback, together with the injustices in the lat two games, may perversely help us mentally. It depends how we react. We should be both confident and seething, and hopefully that will come through on the pitch.

Seen far far worse in terms of performances and we fought back brilliantly.

No soft pen and you wouldn't be saying that.

“Yes, we came back from two down, showed some heart”

That was the point of his post . It would help if people could read. It’s obviously more fun to focus on the negatives though.

If it was a full strength Stoke then maybe you'd have a point. But it was a Stoke team stripped bare by injuries and suspensions. To put ourselves behind the eight ball in the first place was ridiculous. And the defending which led to the penalty...

Edit: Bare, not bear.

First half performance was up there with the worst I’ve seen this year. Hard to be proud of 30 minutes of a performance in the 2nd half. Your expectations are so low.

The real frustration for me is that in the second half (as in other glimpses like cov away) we’ve show we can play. So why too often are we not doing it, how is a Stoke team with nothing to play for seemingly more up for it than us in the first half.

I dont think we are a soft touch, we are hard to beat, it’s the draws that will do us we aren’t ruthless enough to kill games off.

It was a really positive reaction, and it needed to be, that first half was nothing shy of a horror show.

We did what we needed to do to get into a winning position in the 95th minute, that was ripped away from us by really poor officiating, again.

The game tonight was a reflection of our season, the good, the bad, the lucky and unlucky.

I think we may have to give up your hopes of winning the league this time around, I do think it will be play-offs, and hand on heart, I think that is what we deserve over the course of the season.

And there's the point. 'worst I've seen this year'. This year (and the last few seasons) are off the chart compared to where we were. We're a good football team with a great manager who is doing a good job in circumstances that are more difficult than fans who think we should just magically walk the league realise. Hard to be mock disgusted by that.

Of course you are. Mate, we drew with an injury ravaged Stoke having put in one of the worst 45 minutes in living memory. We then finally decide to show up in the second half, and finally come from behind in a game to be in a winning position, and we still manage to find a way to fcuk it up!

It's nothing to do with luck. That's 4 points dropped against Leicester and Stoke, we don't deserve to be in the top 2 and we aren't. We have blown it. There really is very little to be proud

JD as youre so fond of KM

KM himself said we can no longer look at the past.

Why you keep referring to the Evans years etc makes no sense

This is a different club. Different finances. Different expectations. Extremely highly paid individuals.

Having a pss poor game v stoke tonight doesnt come close to losing 1-7 to Peterborough for example. Reason. Its a different club and a different time.

'one of the worst 45 mins in living memory'. Short living memory then! Not even close. This is Town - that doesn't even get into the top 200!

Hate to say it, but at 3-2 in the dying minutes I really did feel like we'd gotten away with one rather than anything else. There's a good slice of fortune in 2 of our goals, and we could have conceded again even in a second half we failed to fully control.

If it wasn't for the agonisingly soft pen, I'd have a hard time arguing we deserved to win. And against a Stoke team with the injuries they have, it's little wonder that's not good enough for some.

I prefer to be the chasers of the pack, so perhaps this will ease some pressure and I can start enjoying the run-in.

I could stomach a sucker punch like that, as I did at Cardiff, if we had shown some guts and got a win or two over the line after falling behind over the course of the season. Tonight has proved to be the rule rather than the exception and is not good enough

Agree that KM looks forward. I'm just pointing out that it's worth remembering how we got here and who got us here

I said at the start of the season that I hoped people weren't daft enough to think it would be an easy season.

If you're thinking was that we either win the league or it's a disgrace then to me that just suggests fans with either no understanding of football or Johnny come latest.

We're 4 points off second. Let's see at the end of the season.
