Never been keen on either Tractor Boys or 'Towen' (yuck) and 'Uppa Towen' can get in the bin. But maybe that's because I'm not a Suffolk native, though I have lived here most of my life since childhood.
Blues or simply Town, generic as they are, will do.
"Town" is often used, but it's merely a shortening of the club name so it isn't really a nickname as such. "Blues" is as unimaginative as it gets. I understand that some don't like "Tractor Boys", but at least it is a nickname.
Noticed that Phil is referring to us as "Blues". What's the preferred on 07:44 - Mar 13 by vilanovablue
Same here it was concocted by Sky back in 2000/01 season by bloody Sky.
I thought it was opposition fans? Always see Birmingham mentioned.
I like that it may have started as a bit of a pisstake but has then been embraced, a lot of opposition fans try I use the tractor thing as a dig but it doesn’t bother us whatsoever.

I thought it was at Leeds in the Prem in September 2000? Their fans started jeering us as "Tractor Boys", we won the game & "1-0, to the Tractor Boys" became an adopted chant & then Sky &the media popularised it.

There was a review of that season called Against All Odds, and I'm certain that the headline for that game at Elland Road is 'Three points and a new nickname'.
