Release a statement saying club has no political affiliation, that having anyone on the tour isn't an endorsement of them or their views and highlighting inclusive work club does.
It's a big misstep but they can deal with it by swiftly doing the above. Why are they waiting?

I think the club also need to insist that Reform and Farage stop using material related to the club for political purposes, including taking down all material relating to the club from public forums.

I assume the issue is if they did have any role yesterday as Reform would have the 'receipts' and call it out. Because they're spiteful like that.
But agree, if there is genuinely nothing then they should do this and should have done this hours ago
As you say, Reform would have known that if they got any ITFC management in their pics or clips, however innocent looking it might have seemed, it would give Farage that get-out clause, so if the Club said it wasn't an official visit, and they don't endorse Reform's politics, those pictures would be revealed.
This is the sort of thing that will get worse and worse from Reform over the coming months, and those Town supporters, even if they do support Reform, should ask themselves if they're happy that their club has been shown up like this.
You are the obsolete SRN4 to my Fairey Rotodyne....
But surely no one can think this was done because of some political leanings towards Reform, can they? No single individual could do that, and certainly the club would not back one party over another.
It;s a simple but monumental cock up by the club to let Reform use and abuse us like this. I can only assume they are taking so long to put something out because they are checking and re checking the legality of it all. (I'm also of the opinion that this would be the reason they didn't tell NF to stop when they realised what he was doing. What I cannot understand is why permission to use the images inside of PR was not forbidden.
I do wonder what the sponsors are thinking, obviously I don’t know halos or ed sheerans political views but I doubt they would want to be seen on social media in this context

Agreed.
The window for an effective statement has already passed. The prolonged silence and initial evasive position is going to mean anything they now put out is going to be treated sceptically by many. Me included.
I did wonder whether there is anything in the Terms and Conditions of such a tour which meant that imagery from it couldn’t be used for political use.
But the only way out for the club - if they want to that is - is to reaffirm that the club do not support them, that the club was naive and to apologise.
On the side, anyone remember in 2016 when the club backed remain and a lot of the freedom of speech crowd lost their minds over that.

They do state that the clubs own policies that state that permission has to be seeked when using ipswich town trademarks but also third party trademarks especially for commercial use..
So considering he took the photo infront of the sponsors theyd have had to give them third party rights too
