| Are we getting deprived of ITFC action at the north stand end? 08:06 - Apr 7 with 1290 views | Dubtractor | Well, are we? Seems like a huge disparity in our goals and exciting play between the two ends this season, yesterday being another example. Then you have the Philogene goal of the season competition at the churchmans end too. We've had a few late penalties i guess. Bit of a contrast to the 23/24 season with all the second half comeback wins. I have no stats to support this, but feel confident that we are being shortchanged this season. Sort it out McKenna! | |

As we have only had one fist pump (cheers Clarke, after THAT Jezza goal) in living memory, leave us alone and let us have some goals!
| Are we getting deprived of ITFC action at the north stand end? on 08:35 - Apr 7 with 1102 views | Steve_M | The Matusiwa goal is the big exception recently, although Egeli's finish and the non-penalty against Leicester were both very clear. | |

| Are we getting deprived of ITFC action at the north stand end? on 08:38 - Apr 7 with 1080 views | DJR | Whilst I don't have the stats to prove this, I am sure over the decades that we have generally played better and scored more goals when attacking the North Stand. I always thought it was due to the vocal support from the North Stand. And the fact that the team almost invariably choses to attack the North Stand in the second half suggests the club feels the same: a bit like playing into the wind in the first half, and with the wind in the second half, in amateur football. But I think the rot set in last season because I frequently said to my mates we would play better in the second half, and it didn't really happen. In that sense, this season has been a bit similar but not quite so bad as last season. [Post edited 7 Apr 8:40]

It has been very noticable recently especially as we have been playing entirely differently in each half. And while I'm on here what is it about the kickoffs. Pass the ball back to O'Shea who hoofs it up to the left wing for us to lose it. Why do we continue with such a pointless move ?

Where are the ‘ cmon you blues ‘ or the old ‘ blue and white army chants’ with the managers names, songs that really encourage the team. [Post edited 7 Apr 9:40]

Yes. And why do we take EVERY free-kick quickly, and pass it backwards?

I dont know what the HT pep talk is supposed to do, but its not very effective atm is it ...

Absolutely. And why aren't we singing "We've got super Kieran McKenna" during and after every game?

I actually believe we are missing a trick by not going towards North Stand first half as when we are " defending" a good first half performance maybe leading at ht then we allow the opposition to kick in the direction of their fans which is obviously louder in their ears for encouragement. As many of you have said up the north end you cant really hear the away fans prehaps we should consider reversing our strategy in this matter?

Clarke scoring the clincher - in all senses - against Norwich was also at the SBR end.

To be expected, really, as in football in general something like 60% of goals are scored in the second half.

Greaves did against Blackpool in the cup but in a league game? That said, O'Shea nearly scored a superb goal yesterday that side-foot volley looked like it was only just wide.
