| Interesting from McKenna on Cajuste on 16:42 - Apr 9 by SuffolkPunchFC | Well, we know he wasn't one of our top targets and Hackney turning us down certainly impacted our plans. We were rumoured to be in for Jordan James in August, but after Hackney fell through, so presumably the agreement with Leicester was too advanced by the time we made an approach. Certainly a good player. I suspect we'd have also needed to move someone on - like Taylor (viewed as things stood last summer). |
i think james would have counted as an underage player for the squad, so we wouldn'thave had to let taylor go. we were probably a man short in centre-mid until neil came in would've been a great move, but, like you say, may have been too far down the line with leicester

Damn. A good problem to hopefully have, but still.

Nope. | |

| Interesting from McKenna on Cajuste on 18:06 - Apr 9 with 387 views | NthQldITFC | Fk me. The desire to say "I was definitely right all along" is so strong, innit. Yes, there were valid thoughts that the Championship might not suit his game, but there was no certainty about that then, there was a good chance that he would be bang at it from the start, and then another good chance that KMc would mould his game to suit. | |

Strange response considering I thought he would boss it this season and have been proven badly wrong.

I think it’s the idea that if he was ‘that’ good last season in the Prem, then why did he end up back here? Reported interest from Burnley, Saudi and elsewhere and nobody took a risk on him at a relatively low purchase price or similar loan like we did. I done 30 out of the 38 Prem games last season and have to say that I didn’t ever feel that he particularly ‘shone’ for us. But then again our midfield bar was relatively low last season.

| Interesting from McKenna on Cajuste on 15:57 - Apr 9 by tractorboy1978 | It's hard to square the circle of him being good enough to play for 'the big clubs in Europe' (McKenna's words) and barely being able to get off the bench for us in the Championship recently. He's a highlights reel player that may look more suited with more time on the ball a level higher in an offensive sense but defensively he is a liability. A lot ignored/missed it last season but he's been found out even at this level in that respect. |
To be fair, some of the wrestling moves we saw on Monday would have been pinged by VAR in the Prem. Not sure he's suited to the rough-and-tumble like Taylor or even Nunez.

Morsy who was way out his depth you mean?

| Interesting from McKenna on Cajuste on 19:28 - Apr 9 with 266 views | itfcsuth | I’ll be the first to say, he has seen some decline lately. I thought he’d really found a grove around the Blackpool cup game, can’t remember the league games around then. Still think he is an outstanding footballer, but there is no doubt he’s had a difficult period. Having said that, I thought he was excellent in the PL last year, in a peculiar way, maybe that suited him more so. | | | |
