Give Nunez a break 14:23 - Apr 11 with 3774 viewsJ2BLUE

Yes it was daft but he clearly cares and was desperate to give Town fans a magic moment.

Laugh it off and enjoy the result.

Yeah, it’s worked out fine, so don’t care! It’ll just annoy Norwich fans more.

Yep, complete headless chicken and incredibly lucky not to get a red.

It's all they had. To get him sent off.

The referee knew what they were up to. Better he was off, though.

It worked ok but bad mgmt imo. 60th minute when it was flat was really poor decision.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Yeah. Probably should have been sent off. But he will and KM will both learn from it.

It was unprofessional from him and Davis. And weak from the ref not to give them the second yellows.

But I trust McKenna to deal with it. The official's decisions fell our way today and that was nice.

As Dara just said, when decisions go your way they are always welcome.

2 more stupid fouls.
We have been very lucky

The ref 100% should have sent him off, so we got a bit of luck today but you take it. Kieran will have a quiet word with him and everyone will move on.

Nunez succeeded in winding up Norwich which was to our benefit. We defended superbly and overall felt the ref handled it well.

Whether Nunez got drawn into it or not, he was stupid. Ambrose and Chambers both saying he was lucky not to see red. I can't see how anyone can see it any other way.

Consdering the first yellow was essentially for a heavy shoulder barge he made 3 tackles in total (which i would equivocate to a yellow) yes the ref could've sent him off but also don't think he actually needed to.

Ref probably just very glad once McKenna took him off. Signalled for the subs very quickly to be honest.

He should have been sent off. He wasn't. Budgies are seething. We can enjoy it.

But Stacey was very fortunate not to see a second yellow for them as well.

Bit like Millwall were lucky when their big CF deliberately dropped a clog on O’Shea in the first half then went on to score the equaliser?

Stuff happens and it evens itself out.

At least KM had the good sense to sub him.

I like Nunez.
