Or Anthony Patterson.

Think I would go for Patterson if a GK is in the offing.

Would just like Walton to have a go in the Premier League personally!

Me too, but McKenna will want someone in for Button and possibly Palmer.

Walton would be fine as our second choice, but a new first choice 'keeper will be high on our priority list imo.

Would have loved Kelleher, but that ship sailed for us.

Patterson isn't any better than Walton or Palmer IMO.

Rushworth would be class or I wouldn't be against looking at the Stoke 'keeper. They have fallen off a cliff since he got injured.

I've been against Rushworth in the past due to the fact I never thought he suited our style of play as he wasn't great at short passing with his feet and threw in a stinker in that regard for Swansea against us.

Since we don't really play that game to the max anymore and are much more pragmatic ( and we would definitely be that, if we get promoted) then i'm a lot more open to it.

We'd be starting with another keeper unproven at the top level though.

A return for Muric presumably a no-go.

I think Sassuolo have an obligation at £8m or so - which feels a little on the cheap side now with the season he's had, and alleged interest from Juve.

Not a chance they refuse to buy him now.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Nearly gave a goal away yesterday with his feet!

The "Ashton In - Support The Club" mob would boo him off the park.

Rushworth or Trafford would be my choice.

What about Pierce Charles?

Superb with his feet and a very good keeper from what I've seen. Wednesday also getting relegated so would be doable at a good price.

Maybe not a starter bit for the squad.

He's very very good. But maybe a little young and inexperienced to be a first choice keeper in the Premier League? Just 26 Championship appearances in two seasons to his name.

If we could get Rushworth, and Charles, that would be about as good a combo as I'd want! We could possibly keep Walton and Palmer (I doubt either would be happy as a 3rd keeper, though) and send Charles out on loan to a Champ club predicted to be fighting for promotion.

I’m surprised a small Italian club has that kind of money.

I think not. Unless we have an option not to trigger the obligation to buy (seems unlikely). Anyway, I think too many have made it clear that Muric would never be accepted back now.

Sorry. Read the player's name and didn't read the full post.

That just doesn't happen, you've seen what happened to Muric who's talent with his feet and hands far exceeds Walton's. Though I am happy Walton has had and taken his chance again in the Championship.

I'm with you on his distribution, its been really really poor whenever I've seen him. We still do play it around at the back involving the keeper a lot. Walton has actually really improved that part of his game this season imo.
