Matches like Portsmouth and Wrexham, where we're suddenly two goals behind and struggle against surprised and delighted teams who then try to stifle any response. Birmingham H nearly went that way, but for the first time we forced our way back into it (but had also kept the deficit down to one). | |

I think, for me, on many occasions the collective loss of head is signposted. Like Portsmouth, for example, we were so ineffectual for most of the first half, struggling to put any kinds of attacking move together. It felt like a goal was coming, and sure enough...
Birmingham, we basically turned up for a ten minute spell and then held on by our fingertips for the remainder. And, in too many games of late, we've gone through spells of struggling with the basics. Even against Norwich, though we showed fight and passion, we were poor in possession. | |
