| Jens Cajuste 18:59 - Apr 23 with 3547 views | BelgianBlue | Does anyone know the real reason(s) behind jens Cajuste not playing anymore ? It can't be only related to a lack of physicality ? A lack of commitment ? Poor form ? I thought his performances were not THAT bad when I saw him playing ... It is such a disapointment , having an inter Milan player indefinitely on the bench ... | | | | |

Wasn’t it at either KFC or McDonald’s?!

| Jens Cajuste on 20:04 - Apr 23 by FrimleyBlue | Do you not think theres been a game at all where a cajuste off the bench would have been a solid addition considering weve had cms running on fumes. [Post edited 23 Apr 20:05]

What's that got to do with my post?

Personally I would be surprised if it was that, as it would imho be unbelievably short sighted, given that we are not promoted and it’s been in the balance for months. We have a midfield that has been running on fumes. It would just be plain daft not to play someone who is fully fit just so that we don’t have to buy him next year and put that ahead of actually getting promoted. If he’s not wanted next season, we can loan him out or sell him. Promotion is worth 150 mill. Taking a hit on his obligation to buy fee feels like small beer in the greater scheme of tu

| Jens Cajuste on 09:42 - Apr 24 with 322 views | hype313 | He's just not been affective when he's played. Thought he would be our golden ticket when we signed him, but he's been a passenger. He's on loan from Napoli not Inter, your'e thinking of Sixto.... | |

Yeah, it's just this basically. He has some lovely moments, and they'd look great if you put them all together on a highlights reel, but they're few and far between. The Championship is an absolute battle, you need grafters not passengers. Philogene and Clarke have the twinkle toes and vision but they also work hard, get stuck in, track back and have huge involvements in games. Which, for whatever reason, Cajuste does not. If you're in a battle against a hard-working team desperate for the points, which is most Championship games, Jens Cajuste is the last player you'd want to throw on.

Yep, also we weren't exactly going gung ho for him last summer, seemed to be the last option once other targets failed such as Hackney. Surprised we agreed to an obligation, maybe that was the only way we would get him on loan. Speaks volumes of what Napoli want to do with him to. If their are triggers, think it's wise we don't go down that route, I know £5m to a PL team is peanuts, but we need all funds geared towards players who we know will be battle hardened.

| Jens Cajuste on 11:03 - Apr 24 with 181 views | jayessess | Echo others on here that he's just 5th-choice midfielder and it's no more complicated than that. You look through his stats and as you might expect he's well below the average championship midfielder on defensive work but he's also underperformed on in-possession stuff. | |

| Jens Cajuste on 11:18 - Apr 24 with 148 views | darkhorse28 | He’s never been able to do the defensive side at CDM. Gets run past, through and knocked off the ball. He hasn’t changed. McKenna maybe trusted him more in the prem where he had more time in those areas. Not his fault. Great player technically, too good for this level, but was never a CDM and we oaky a double pivot. Really odd from McKenna and Ashton, and not the only example, lack of striker, 500 wide players, we really didn’t do getting premier league resources and understanding what we actually needed very well. Just signed lots of good players and some poor ones. Really poor. And it’s year 5 now. We haven’t improved in that area. Will be an interesting summer if we go up …, McKenna says we’ve been poor the last two years because of player turnover, but those were obviously OUR choices. Maybe just add 3 or 4 quality signings if we go up, at the most, but who knows. Depends how Ashton gets his kicks. He loves doing a transfer so 11 in and out and the same excuse (maybe). | | | |
| Jens Cajuste on 11:45 - Apr 24 with 115 views | SWLondonBlue93 | He just isn't that good. Yes he was our best CM last season, but let's face it the other options were nowhere near Premier League standard. He is the definition of a luxury player and we can't afford that in that area of the pitch with the way we set up. | | | |

| Jens Cajuste on 19:24 - Apr 23 by jasondozzell | Yep I agree. I think we're guilty of a bit of revisionism when it comes to Cajuste. He has struggled with the defensive side of things in the second half of season but he put in some very good performances in the first half. Classy player. |
Agree but you look at games like the 4-3 loss to Brentford last year and with a more solid and orthodox player in midfield (who, crucially, enjoys defending) I think we would have been winning games like that.
