His comments in a recent presser regarding Jens' PL quality were interesting - either he means it, or he was being diplomatic.

To be fair, if he was playing well enough to justify his place in the squad he would have been there. Promotion is worth a lot more to us than that fee.
The fact he hasn't been playing well enough to appear at least 50% of our matches tells me we won't be signing him. A very talented player who hasn't had enough impact on matches. We need players who have the impact. Taylor is less talented as a footballer but makes a far bigger difference to how we perform. |  |

I think the suggestion is that those leagues are less physical and more suited to a skilful player.
I don't think the Premier League is that much less physical than the Championship just that VAR means you have to be more wise to what can and can't be got away with. I think it's telling that McKenna said top European leagues if he didn't add "and the Premier League".
There is a lot to like about Cajuste but I remain frustrated that he doesn't make the best use of the time he makes for himself on the ball. | |
