| The post-match celebration yesterday 11:21 - May 3 with 1814 views | DJR | Unless it happened after I left, I was disappointed yesterday that McKenna and the players and their families didn't come close to the North Stand yesterday, as I think they did in the last couple of promotions? Nor was there the opportunity for a Nunez "yes, yes, yes". There was no attempt to clear people from the pitch, and maybe this was a factor, or is it just the case that they were always going to confine the celebrations to the area in front of the , maybe for security reasons? In making this comment, I am not in anyway condemning those who went on the pitch, as I used to do at the end of the last game of the season many years ago: I was in the upper North yesterday anyway which made it difficult to get down. Nunez and Burns did make their way over, as did McKenna where we were treated to a fist pumps from him and his son! | |

They had a booking at Isaacs to get to.

A case of "if you won't get off then we won't carry out the usual sign off". I assume there weren't enough stewards to keep the push going. There was probably some "safety" thing about it - if the players went up there the fans might try to break the cordon or something. I was disappointed they didn't speak to McKenna and the players. Though, with the PA system being as bad as it is, I probably wouldn't have understood a word they said anyway!

I'd gone by then to catch a train as I thought it had all fizzled out.

That might well have been a factor, but there was plenty of room in the East stand.

Nunez went round the perimeter high fiving the fans too.

| The post-match celebration yesterday on 11:35 - May 3 with 1576 views | ITFC_History | It did not help letting fans from The Upper North into the North lower to celebrate on the pitch then not letting those same fans back up again. When we asked if we could go back up to our seats to watch the players celebrations into Upper North we were told NO & was then asked to leave the stadium. So we went back onto the pitch, got through a gate and watched the players celebration from the West stand. Personally I think that's why so many fans remained on the pitch [Post edited 3 May 11:44]

And they had been escorting others, when asked to other stand as well. The cordon could have been adapted so people could have entered Cobbold or East of England. Plus the cordon was hardly high speed. People had the chance to get into the right stand once it was in place.

I couldn't get near the Pioneer. Walked on from SBRL and went out via the away fans exit between Cobbold and SAR because there seemed no point in hanging around like a spare part. Didn't see any players. Did a few walk straight off to the dressing room?

The pyros before the game made it even warmer in the SBRL. I hate those fire boxes. Waste of time. If you're gonna have fireworks, have decent ones.

If there hadn’t been a pitch invasion you wouldn’t have been disappointed.
| The post-match celebration yesterday on 12:40 - May 3 with 966 views | CopfordBlue | Post-match on pitch celebrations were far better against Exeter than they were yesterday or against Huddersfield. There wasn’t a pitch invasion against Exeter. There is a link. The time it takes the players to get back to the changing room and then clear the pitch kills the momentum.not a criticism, just an observation. Cracking day again though! | |

There was plenty of room to move people off the pitch and behind the goal line, same as they did against Hudds. We did say maybe they could had done a lap of honour as a squad, before their families etc came on.

There was a small pitch invasion against Exeter. Then a full scale one against Huddersfield, and the celebrations were fine after that.

But not this time,so my point is valid. Depends on what you prioritise, pitch invasion or celebrating with the players etc.
