with a Reform rosette on.

A couple stood next to him asking him where the Labour candidate was. And followed that by saying they'd voted Reform to ensure Labour don't get in.

Feck me, we are doomed.

Do you mind I will be 80 later this year and looking forward to my basic state pension receiving a boost.

I still can’t make up my mind what I will do with the 25p a week increase.

They convince the boomers that they can somehow get back, for their kids and grandkids, the unsustainable days they had if only the country got rid of foriners trans greens and mental health. They're the trouble, not a fundamentally unsustainable system.

So, yep, we're doomed.

They do not convince me, nor any of my similar aged boomer friends. However, there must be some idiots out there, I must admit.
And people who generalise based upon age are as bad as people who generalise based upon race, religion or anything else.

Well, I made sure to drag my teenage daughter to the polling station to vote for her first time despite knowing full well that like most of her gen Z friends she was favouring Green.

If you want to defeat the boomers voting Reform you all should have more kiddos.

You are entitled to keep your voting preference a secret. Just curious that somebody who posts on a lot of political posts has never publicly nailed their colours to the mast.

Pretty much everyone on these type of threads declare their preference. But it's your prerogative not to.

edit. Certainly odd to downvote somebody asking a civil question.
[Post edited 7 May 19:25]

Perhaps those downvoting you didn't think it was a simple civilised question as I didn't?

Perhaps they thought it was a leading question with an ulterior motive?

Perhaps your recent posting might have something to do with that?

If that wasn't the case then perhaps you might want to consider why that was my initial thought?

No problem Stokie. But it's noticeable that you sit on the fence quite a lot. For example, when I said that I didn't think protesting against Ashton outside of Portman Road on match day was particularly productive, your view was that nothing else had worked. I took from that you were in favour of the protests but a few days later when I suggested this you got very shirty saying you hadn't said you were.

So you tend to criticise people on a a variety of subjects but never give your own view. I've seen this on other threads.

So when you continually demand answers and reasons for people's voting habits then perhaps it is not unreasonable to ask who you vote for and your reasons for dong so.

"continually demand answers and reasons for people's voting habits"

When did this happen?

I've asked Benters a few times to enlighten me about what I am clearly missing with regards to Reform but he never adds substance. That is also up to him but to state I am continually demanding answers on people's voting habits is nonsense.

If someone declares they are in favour of a policy or suchlike then that is them offering that information and I think it's fine to ask them about it.

It's pretty telling that your example has nothing to do with voting habits, if it was continual you could have plucked a relevant example from any recent thread.

This is once again leading towards an argument that I don't want to have thus I am going to leave it there.

I voted Tory in Essex to stop Reform from using it as a PR exercise. They had no policies for Essex County Council and just campaigned on national issues, no interest in our county at all. Having spoken to the Tory and Lib Dem activists today, they say Reform will win almost every seat in Essex. Badenoch has sunk the Tory party and brand Farage is the man who is gaining from such a poor choice of leader from the Tories. She needs to go and they need a real, grown up, non-Reform-lite leader, and fast.
