Well they gave it the best go anyone has for 4 decades. Can’t compete with Penaltic though.

It’s no better than that league in the Isles of Scilly or wherever it is that has only 2 teams.

Let them Into English football but make them start from the bottom of the football pyramid.

They gave it a hell of a go and hopefully with Tony Bloom's data they can go one better.

Sky have just said that it's the 14th title in 15 for Celtic, and their 56th after all.

What's the point?

Pretty dire. This was Heart's moment and they blew it. Could have been a Leicester moment. Worst Rangers and Celtic teams in years. Mid Championship sides at best.

Hearts were leading when the league split, so according to rules should have been at home for the last game. Somehow Celtic end up at home within striking distance of the title due to some dodgy var decisions. This does feel like the final nail in the coffin for Scottish football, it doesn't matter how the season goes, spl will always find a way for Celtic to win.

People love a nonsensical conspiracy. Why would the Premiership not want a different winner? It makes zero sense.

Blew it is harsh. Had Celtic drawn at Motherwell midweek, today's result would have meant Hearts were champions. One very dodgy handball decision has proved crucial I'm afraid.

What he said is true though, Hearts should have been at home on the final day, not Celtic.

It's hard to argue against it all being set up for Celtic to win it.

The fact the league splits like that just underlines what a joke of a league it is. And will remain so when you have two (relatively speaking) giants in a small country.

Not arguing with that bit but people dismissing stonewall penalties as part of some conspiracy is just silly.

Hearts also had a clear penalty against Motherwell that was inexplicably not given.

People can say that they dropped points but these things add up. I don't think anybody can reasonably say that Celtic were not extremely fortunate to win the league.

I thunk (unless I am corrected) Celtic have already played at Hearts twice & played at home once.

So when the spit in the league happens the fixture is then played at the ground where they have not yet played the forth fixture between themselves, which is at Parkhead.

But could be very wrong on this mind

Joke football, top teams wouldn't find it a stroll in the park at Championship level in this country. Just a case of how quickly they can get knocked out of Europe every season!

In which case, could the final set of fixtures not have been configured to have Hearts at Celtic on another weekend, and then have Hearts at home on the final day?

It worked out well for them in terms of who played who, with the top two and duo battling fourth facing each other. Spectacle is more important than any perceived fairness.

Hearts had their chance. They were six points ahead of Celtic when O'Neill returned. They couldn't get over the line.

Because the underdog didn't win it. It's the equivalent of throwing toys out of the pram.
