What a load of rubbish. The finances are what they are because its not a 2 team league with a terrible standard of football. 7 different winners of the Premier League in 33 years as opposed to 2 different winners in 41 years in the SPL. That's why it's an irrelevant League that nobody cares about. Giving that terrible decision midweek will not have helped anything for themselves long term either.
It may be an irrelevant league but Scotland tops Europe for the highest per capita attendance at football matches.
The fans obviously care about it, and I bet you don't get as many plastic fans as you do with the top clubs in England.
[Post edited 16 May 16:36]
That’s a meaningless boast because it only includes top-flight matches. Scotland’s population is less than a tenth of England’s for example, but its Premiership has 12 clubs vs England’s 20 and 228 matches in a season vs 380. For a fair comparison, you’d need to aggregate English attendances much further down the league.

Let's not forget Monaco, it's teams get an average attendance of 8000, equivalent to 200 per 1000 population, or 10 times higher than the SPL contrived statistic.

Have to laugh at how some people bemoan the decisive nature or Farage/ Reform yet wallow in the cheap " glory" of one of the THE most decisive, sectarian clubs on the planet.

Odd behaviour for someone of his age, but it’s been his thing for a long while now.

Lovely people. Can’t find any Ranfpgers supporters to fight with so fight amongst themselves. Vile sectarian #@&*
And the game wasn’t completed before the pitch invasion so if the SFA has any ball they will give a 3-0 win to Hearts as per the rules.

I always find this statement that "it's an irrelevant League that nobody cares about" quite odd. Obviously people care about it in Scotland. Its their league.
You may as well say that nobody cares about the Dutch, Belgium, Portuguese Leagues etc. Well obviously people in Nederlands, Belgium and Portugal do. But why should anyone outside of these countries particularly care about them? Why do people only ever say this about the SPL?

" He" is certainly not seeking attention, just stating a view on hete likeveverytinvekse dioes, including you.
Celtic are not a " nice" club they are openly sectarian making them perhaps one the vilest clubs in Scotland. Now they really do generate hatred. You obviously are too young to recall when they came to PR for Alan Hunter's testimonial, and their band paraded around the pitch before the game, playing political songs. It gelt lije walking certsin areas of Belfast,. However a young Alan Brazil was enjoying himself, bless him, jigging around infront of the Celtic fans in the NS... whilst poor Johnny Wark looked distinctly uncomfortable.
There was a lot of angry comments to the local press ( Eadt/ Eve Star) by many people, who understood the thinly veiled under tones to their songs that day. I was just a kid back then, but i could " sense" the unease in the ground.
But in your book I suppose those people writing into the press were " attention seeking" were they?? People like you make me sick.

So Celtic are the vilest club in Scotland cause they sang a few songs you didn't like at Portman Road in the 70,s

Interestingly, the Celtic team and fans came to support a Northern Irish protestant.
"Fellow Ipswich player Terry Butcher wrote of Hunter in his autobiography, describing an incident where Butcher had "crossed himself" before a reserve match:
Big Allan Hunter was sitting in the stand and after the game he grabbed me and asked me if I was a Catholic. I told him I wasn't. I was an English Protestant. Why, then, he asked, did I cross myself? I told him it was for luck but he told me to remember I was a Protestant and warned me never to do it again – if I did, he would really sort me out."
And wasn't that the game that the floodlights failed purportedly down to too many presumably drunken Scots urinating at the back of the North Stand?
EDIT: this from a Celtic report of the game.
Celtic fans give Celtic mad Ipswich forward Alan Brazil a rousing ovation.
The floodlights went out for a period of time as a result of Celtic fans urinating at the foot of the lights and causing a power cut.
The second half was delayed and the Wolfe Tone flute band from Wishaw entertained the fans until play was resumed when the lights came back on.

I didn't know Monaco played in the Monaco league.

Most people who went to that game talk about the floodlights going out and how/why that happened- but this little boy was busy looking at Jonny Wark’s sad eyes…

Aye, a number of my family were at this game and it still gets spoken about today at gatherings, etc. All describe it very much the vein you’ve described here- never ever heard it described as our “retro” friend here has, but I’m sure this very politically aware little boy is bang on the money and my family, local press reports and yourself are all “Celtic scumbags” or whatever the insult was 😂

It's not a Premiership contrived statistic, it comes from a UEFA report and applies to all Scottish football, league and non-league, not just the top tier. There's always something of interest when you go to a new Scottish ground.

People like drama. There has been a real lack of drama in the title races in Scotland. As soon as there is something different there is interest. Just like any other league. The Glasgow clubs are too big for Scotland. I have no idea what the answer is. Hopefully Hearts can step up to add a bit to it like Atletico did in Spain.

Worth noting that not only was Wolfe Tone a protestant but he was also an enthusiast for Thetford's own Thomas Paine and 'The Rights of Man':
