Safe Standing in SBR Lower on 10:50 - May 19 with 1822 viewsLeaky

Well no one sits down anyway in SBR lower

I wouldn't mind having my seat if they're going to rip it out and chuck away anyway, wonder if they'd facilitate that?

Long overdue and welcome.

Just the middle blocks, 2/3, or the whole thing? I know a few in Block 4 who like a sit down at half time!

Still can. Safe standing includes a seat so shouldn't be an issue.

The seats stay in, they just add railings.

Not sure this is the case if they're going to be increasing capacity

Think it is the reconfiguration of the disabled section that adds capacity (to the Lower North) - safe standing is still one person per seat.

Moving the disabled sections around will add a few more ‘seats’ the ones that were always covered up at either end for example will now be able to be used. Probably only taking a couple of hundred if that.

Shame, I want my seat in my garden one day so I can go sit on it in the middle of winter and reminisce about the banter era

I believe this is proper safe standing where the seat is built into the rails, rather than just putting rails over the existing seat.

I would assume they will be usable at half time but I think in some other countries the seats lock in the upright position unless it is a match where seating is enforced.

Pop along to the county cup finals this week and check if your seat is still there.

I've seen Joe to Keiron in my seat, I'd like it if they offer them out! Fit it in my workshop while I ponder the next project!

Any idea what area has potential chance of being moved? I am in block 5 row K, not sure if they will go back that far.

I wonder if the club shop sells replica seats? Just a thought.

(An odd one, admittedly.)

Can one reminisce alone?

Perhaps they should sell them in pairs?

Not sure the club are allowed to sell alcohol within sight of the pitch.
