We'd have to guarantee him a starting place, no way he's going anywhere after playing for the PL champions and at his age, just to sit on a bench. If he's as good as his word he won't be in the country anyway.

I don't think he expected to play such a small role in just 6 PL games this season when he made that statement. Played every game last year for Brentford, and more often than not didn't even make the bench this year. He was the Jorginho replacement, he would have expected to get at least 20 games you'd have thought.
I reckon he could be tempted to stay in the PL, especially now he's got a winners medal.

He’s looked a million dollars under Glasner - but then everyone has.
Was so impressed with them at our place last time.., better organised, coached, physically stronger, far more technical and looked two divisions better than us, v v impressive.
Will looked so composed and never realised how good his positional Play was .., but he’s surrounded by quality.
Not sure in isolation, but in writing to 4 or 5 quality additions he’d be great, v underrated.
This window is as terrifying as it is exciting, we’ve earned another chance to spend on a few players.
Let’s see if we’ve learned the lessons.

I've always thought Wil Hughes would be a cracking signing for us. I think he is just the kind of profile player we need. I'd be chuffed if we pulled that one off!
