I really blame Mark Burnett, a British TV producer who is behind the Apprentice as well as a bunch of other trash TV. Ex-army, he moved to LA doing random jobs then selling t-shirts before producing a tv show that later became Survivor.
Other hits include a drama series based on the Bible, "Sarah Palin's Alaska", and "My Dad is Better than Your Dad".
He is currently Trump's Special Envoy to the UK and is at the roots of a lot of trash today, including the US president and Alan Sugar. |  | | |
