Realistic replacements? 19:09 - Jun 10 with 1952 viewsbournemouthblue

Ole Gunnar Solskjær
Liam Rosenior
Sean Dyche
Kim Hellberg
Phillip Clement
Thomas Frank
Any other obvious candidates?

Gary O'Neil is being mentioned but that would be diabolical imho
Steven Gerrard (see above)

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Scott Parker’s name is bound to be in the frame - wouldn’t be my choice before anyone jumps on me 😂

Frank said he wouldn’t manage again soon, but I’d like him, or Ole, no one else on that list.

Plenty abroad to look at though.

Hopefully Ashton has many realistic replacements that most of us are less familiar with.

I’d like us to look at Knutsen, the Bodo/Glimt manager, however imagine that is not likely or realistic.

Lee Carsley - not my first choice, but we could do a lot worse.

One on that list that's head and shoulders above the rest for me, and it isn't TF. Remember around 5 years ago we took a punt on a young, in his case totally inexperienced manager ( non at all ) ? I think you can work out who I'd prefer. Regardless of who it turns out to be, he needs our support and a chance, whether we like it or not. He'll have a hell of a job on his hands ( or two), following KM and trying to keep us in the PL. He'll need our backing.

Yep, we should have no shortage of interest from far and wide. Rather hoping for a ‘statement of intent’ style appointment which the names mentioned so far do not strike me as being.

Its Sean Dyche isn't it?

I’d be happy to look at Lee Carsley, but the fact that he hasn’t been mentioned for any club job since he stood down from the England gig makes me wonder whether he’s quietly ruled it out.

I hope it's someone I've never heard of. Worked out well last time.

I'd prefer that much more than one of the " usual suspects ".

Exactly. Let it be exciting. Tempting to go for a "safe pair of hands" given the context of the appointment, but, think we need someone who doesn't have much of a reputation in the UK. If it's someone like Dyche, immediately half the fanbase is going to be sceptical and come at it with bias.

TWTD CP. Evans Out.
Poll: Neil Young or Lynyrd Skynyrd - there is no middle ground.

It needs to be someone who knows everything about our players, their strengths, abilities, weakness, how they train...

So, Tonda Eckert has a head start!

ONeil and Rosenior would be underwhelming. Lacking ambition.

We were paying KM £6M a year. That’s competitive at a high level.

Over to Ashton to bring in a cracking replacement!
