What your AI output has failed to take into account is the fact that McKenna clearly loves the work on the training ground and developing players. I believe the key to our success was how he gets the best out of players and builds a unit - you could see that in the unity the team had, and when there were issues, he removed what he felt was the problem individuals.
As for Ashton, he is a commercial minded CEO, but the so called clash of personalities is being massively overplayed - you don't build successful teams if your leadership group is disfunctional.
I trust what McKenna has said, as I have never had reason not to. He will be back in a dugout within 6-12 months and will have a hugely successful career, but he felt he needed the break and it was a good time to take it. |  | | |
