This is honestly absolutely ridiculous. And I think you know it.
There is a team of people working on recruitment across all areas of the club. Of course Ashton will have a big role to play on the new manager and I fully expect he has (with the team) been working on a replacement (we would already have market mapped even before Kiran confirmed going) and quite possibly interviewing over the last week or so.
Going on the Radio is part of his job. Raising the clubs profile is part of his job. Using various platforms to communicate and update the fans is part of his job.
He is work cliche cringe at times yes. He made a massive mistake recently yes. But this is ridiculous criticism.
You may think it's ridiculous - I know your opinion is naive.

I think both Jordan and Friedel were fairly clear that there is probably more to it and something that isn't being spoken of. Ashton tried to downplay that.
It is possible McKenna simply needed a break but it wouldn't surprise me if there is a little more to why he needs one. As he hasn't felt the need to reveal anything, I don't think speculating what that might be is helpful. McKenna was very clear in his thanks of Ashton when he did his interview. I don't think it is the relationship between the two of them that is the problem at the heart of it.

If he wanted to adjust the buyout it would be because a club had indicated they would appoint him but not pay that fee. So adjusting the buyout would simply allow another club to sign him for reduced compensation and he would leave anyway.
What you are stating is pure speculation without any credible evidence for it. I would suggest it is not respectful towards McKenna as well.

yes, doubt the personal relationship is the issue, though the change in the professional relationship may have been a contributing factor.
he may well have been upset by the gaffes caused by ma trying to do 2 jobs poorly, but the main issue would have been the distraction from his job at critical times.
also, the fact ashton was taking on too much and making mistakes impacted the amount of time he was able to support km, meaning more landed on his head.

In all seriousness, I don't have a problem with Ashton as CEO at all - I think his drive and determination are big reasons why we've had the success we have, but would still like a calming head like Mike O'Leary as chairman.
I doubt we'd have had the brainfart we had earlier in the season if he was still in post.
