There is no manager this club could appoint who would be universally liked by 100% of the fans base. You only need to read this forum, Mgr A, highlighted by a poster, up voted by some, immediately hit with lots of 'No thanks'.
That's simply something you have to live with especially in these days of social media.
Also I keep seeing the expression 'expected much more' but what precisely is much more?

I do feel it may be a short term appointment if he keeps us up it's all good. Bournemouth were happy to bring someone else as did Brighton with Hughton. I am content to be pragmatic. McKenna isn't an easy replacement. I just think we just see what we see. It might not be all bad. |  | | |

The overwhelming majority don't seem to want O'Neil so I think you're being a bit unfair. Nobody really knows how this is going to turn out. I think there are pros and cons for both options, and as other people have said, the recruitment will have as much impact. I personally think that people will warm to him once he gets he gets his ideas across. A certain way for him to fail is having everyone on his back from day 1. |  | | |

He’s highly rated within the industry which is enough for me. We as fans don’t get to see important things like how he works with players day to day and gives them the tools to perform on match day.

What is an ITFC appointment?
Ive supported Town long enough to have seen us appointment managers after they were sacked from their previous club. Mgrs appointed from in-house Young managers with no experience, mature managers with loads of experience. Mgrs with lower league only experience.
In other words I've seen Town appoint mgrs from every aspect.

Everyone should get behind him and the team during games.
But absolutely nothing wrong with being underwhelmed and not rating him. I didnt rate him at any point and look at how both Bournemouth and Wolves performed as soon as he left.
I was actually delighted when budgies were linked to him, they spoke apparently but didnt offer him anything annoyingly.
We wont stay up with him in charge next season but was going to be tough anyway. Will get behind the lads and him in the 90 minutes but hes not a Premier League quality manager and arguably not even a top championship one | | | |
