Well I hate to break it to you… that’s how Ipswich are going to have to play all season if they’re going to have a chance of staying up.

Poll: Ipswich offer you 10k a week, Norwich offer you 20k. Who do you join?

Tbf if most of the Premier League teams spend 80 mins passing it around in front of us thats fine!.... just 10 minutes backs to the wall defending with the odd break shouldn't be to painful for us.

I doubt it very much given what GON said in his interview.

Sure, there may well be matches when we play like that - it's probably what we should have done last time, but from what he said in his interviw it won;t be the normal, regular way we play. at

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

No we are not. We are going to play like that in maybe 12-20 games. You think we will set up like that vs Hull etc? So no we won't be playing like that all season not by a long stretch.

Why is defending a dirty word? The great teams in the past could all defend very well. If ( Liverpool, Arsenal) scored against you, you knew youd lost the game, becuase they rarely conceded.

If Town adopt a " similar" defending ability to Ghana last night, we will stay up ..That has to be the goal fir ys this voming season. We must stay up. Develop going forwards after that. But stay up this season. GON has been brought in with this specific target in mind.

I hope we don't get sick of it.

Not really, England are a top premier league team standard and Ghana are Semenyo plus 10 Championship standard players. You'd hope we'd recruit some premier league standard players.

With a bit more forward thinking I'd imagine, though I think we can rule out gung ho! I thought Ghana were excellent, made a team costing many times what theirs cost look like a bunch of no marks.

To be fair....

We tried to play football last time and got humped most weeks. And it was a miserable experience. It wasn't a bad end result with good performances. It was sh1te.

I'll probably come around to Gaz, but only because I'm lowering the expectations.

We really have to wrap the KM era up with fond memories and steel ourselves for some terrible football to come. And we might be pleasantly surprised once in a while.

What and let us beat them 4 nil? I admire these teams that dig in and find a way to get a result.

Didn’t Christiano Ronaldo have a hilarious paddy a few years ago after Iceland held Portugal 0-0 with similar tactics?

A superb bottom lip right out, refusal to shake hands and flounce down the tunnel if I recall correctly.

Brightened up a dull game. Wonderful stuff.

Agree, apart from the first half dozen games of novelty factor of being in prem it was a very miserable experience. To be brutally honest large parts of last season were a difficult watch at times too.

Ultimately this season it's going to be about results, if we can somehow average a point a game and it's shite I think most people would put up with that?

Looking forward to some new signings coming in and seeing where we go.
