GON having a second - more detailed viewing of the new training ground today 11:23 - Jun 26 with 8217 viewsBillywitch

To my surprise, we (the people working onsite) have been told strictly nobody is to speak to him or those with him, even if we are spoken to. If we do we risk being escorted off site.
Others working here have told me that this is common practice when working here, with the same rules applied to the players before/after training.
There must be 20 season ticket holders, and regular away fans on this site. Was excited to start this next few weeks of work, bit of a dampener on it now.

Just starting shouting at him "scum, scum, scum" ... just for a laugh.

I'll get my coat.

I can really only comment on what I am here to do, which I believe is 10/12 days behind where they'd like to be at this point.
Going to be lovely though, whilst not industry leading it'll certainly be a massive step up from where we were and hopefully take us to the next level.

Would be further on if you stopped checking TWTD and got on with you job instead!

Just kidding buddy!

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

Incorrect, I successfully alerted the board to something happening, as I usually do. You all still doubt the validity of my source on top of the towers, but he always comes through

Buddy of mine used to work at a VFX office in Soho, doing CGI for films. They had Madonna visiting to do some shooting. He was told pretty much the same instruction. Even when she asked him for a bottle of water, he said nothing as he fetched and handed it over.

I know Madonna and GON aren't quite the same level of 'VIP' but seems like the same principle.

Oooh! We had Salma Hayek. Not as high profile I guess, but she was absolutely fine with engagement.

Interestingly I heard from colleagues in the business that staff/artists at ILM were forbidden from looking George Lucas in the eye when he was on site.

That's a little bit of overkill if you ask me, but it's the way of the world now. You've only got to look at managers flouncing out of interviews because they get pertinent questions from journalists, that they don't want to answer ( or rather, don't have one for ). Protecting the species you might say!

The man in charge of the site, you'd guess that he hasn't just decided this off his own back though.

Just so petty in my opinion. As I say, is a big deal for myself and other fans to work somewhere like this. Just feels a bit like we aren't good enough to be here.

Maybe I'm being too soft, and have a romantic idea of ITFC. Long gone are the days of biking to Portman Road and watching training sessions and chatting with the players

Where does the boss man stand on wolf-whistling and shouting "Alwight daaahwin!" at passing blondes?
