I'm pretty sure that Emersonn is not intended to be our only striker signing this summer. Indeed, we might sometimes see more than one on the pitch at the same time under O'Neil.
I'm also not sure that one can draw a direct parallel with Walle Egeli. Emersonn has had three seasons playing at a high level, to the former's one (and, arguably, the Danish league is not of such a high standard as those of Italy, Turkey and France). Plus there were tactical elements to SWE's issues - being played wide on the right in a system which sent almost everything down the other side. Difficult to shine when you're mostly being ignored. | |
