| RWB position already solved? 17:48 - Jul 21 with 2869 views | ippy_land | If we played a 3421, do we already have the RWB in the building? - Ben Johnson - Wes Burns - Kasey Mcateer Wonder if these will get any serious opportunity to nail down that position this season or will we look to recruit as wary there have been no links for this position so far this window? | |

CM is the main gap imo and I think whoever we bring in there will define our season.

Centre midfield and Attacking midfield big areas to fill as well.

I guess the only issue is that West Ham may not need the money now that CS has gone to Saudi

Sounds like they are asking for a lot. 25M for a 28/ almost 29YO is a lot. There are too many gaps in the side to spend that on him.

Seen online he's been linked with Lazio, Arsenal and Everton so could be tough if any of the rumours are true

We’ve been trying to convince him to join since his failed move to Inter … to no avail at the minute.

I think 4231 is gone next season
| RWB position already solved? on 09:23 - Jul 22 with 962 views | PioneerBlue | Alonso expected to use 3421 at times and everyone will fall in behind. GON and ITFC have already dabbled with this shape at times during the PL but depending on players 4231 and 3421 can be interchangeable | |

| RWB position already solved? on 09:50 - Jul 22 with 876 views | southnorfolkblue | Ogbene could also fit the bill although I think his days are numbered. My concern with all 3 (perhaps slightly less so with BJ) is how they’d cope with the defensive side of the role, because I think it will end up being a 5 more of the time than a 3 | |

But didn’t he actually say in his initial presser, his preferred formation was 4-2-3-1? Just wondered where all this 3 at the back talk came from?!

I think people assumed due to the Diop signing. I can see him using O’Shea as a right back.

It’s certainly possible but feels strange given the second half of the season that hes just had at CB. I suppose if he’s on the right of a 3 there’ll be times when he slides out there anyway

| RWB position already solved? on 10:56 - Jul 22 with 721 views | ThatMuhrenCross | I'm convinced we'll play a 3-4-3 this season. O'Neill has previous for it, and our recruitment points towards it too. Expecting something like this: Scherpen O'Shea, Diop (?), Alexsandro (?) Khalaili (?), Matusiwa, Morita (?), Davis Fatawu, Emersonn, Clarke I also think we could end up replacing Matusiwa in the starting line-up, should the right player come available. He was good in the Championship, but wonder if his technical ability may be a little limited for the Premier League. | |
