His ITFC vs NCFC inferiority complex shows no sign of waning with time does it!!
That translates as "Daizen Maeda is a very good player who probably is Premier League quality and a very astute signing by Ipswich, but I'm so blinded by my Norwich bias that I have to twist it and turn it into a negative."
Sutton must have the most boring voice going and he tries to hide his accent by making out he's posh. I could count on one hand the number of ex football pundits I think are good and that's a Suffolk and not a Norfolk hand.

Bear in mind that he didn't just play for the Budgies, but largely grew up there. I'd hope that Dozzel was similarly keen on us still, but perhaps a tad more gracious about it. Any regular listener to the Monday Night Club on here will know how Chappers handles his belligerence. Having said that, I personally don't think his opinions on football in general are always wide of the mark even though overstating his case is his benchmark.

Cleared out some deadwood for a bit of cash and reinvested it on what looks like some decent talent.
"Decent" as in mid table again!
There's some big hitters in the CC now and scum are easy pickings for the few goodish players they might have. No parachute money for them anymore and not particularly heaviliy backed by their owner.

This is their last three or four preseasons though isn't it? The seem to have lost the knack of picking up cheap young Europeans who go onto bigger and better things.

I suspect they'll make the play-offs but there are too many good sides in there for them to get any further.
Then things will tail off, Clements will get a better offer at somewhere like Swansea, and they'll be back to relegation fodder again.
It's not a place where football comes naturally, Norwich.
To be honest you have to be pretty crap not to get into the playoffs in the Championship which now means 1/3 rd of the teams in that league will be in the playoffs. It's turning into a Mickey Mouse league.
