Understand what you are saying but it's a weak position for us in the PL. Palmer isn't up to it, as shown last time and Walton is a very capable back up, but he isn't a starter. | |

Really feel for Walton. Felt he deserved his chance.
All I hope is, at that height, he'll be good at catching crosses. Walton is the only keeper we've had in years that has done well at that. |  |

Fully agree. I find it mind boggling how many people are suggesting we should keep Walton as number one this season.
He palms loads of shots back into the danger zone, is very slow to get down to low shots, isn’t particularly commanding of his box and is dodgy on the ball. Not one part of his game is premier league quality.
He’s been a good servant for us but I’d be inclined to get let him find a home where he can be a number one in the championship if there’s any interest. |  |

I think Walton will stay and be the number 2 once fit, he’ll bide his time as before and if Scherpen doesn’t excel he’ll get his chance as with Palmer.
