It feels as though we are getting closer and closer to a new, breakaway organisation to run football. Infantino has too much power and hold over the smaller members and the rest of football has to suffer the consequences. The £15 million is essentially a bribe to the smaller members to vote in favour and people are already speculating that Infantino himself will end up running the private investment company as soon as his term as President is over!

well quite. it is now a money printing machine - media rights and advertising produce huge income flows which can be expanded via international rights at almost zero cost. investment in that is extremely lucrative. how can you move away from that model while the value of media rights is so dominant. if you don't want it to belong to investors you need to stop it generating such ludicrous levels of cash. | |

I don’t think it’s about federations.
UEFA do need to lead the way, then it’s about picking off the main influences to build support: Brazil, Argentina, Japan, s Korea, Mexico, USA, Morocco.
Get something going there and fifa is pretty much done. | |
