| Realistically for relegation on 13:22 - Jul 30 with 2777 views | SitfcB | Leeds will be fine. Bournemouth and Everton dark horses. Bournemouth may struggle with juggling European competition plus new manager. Everton have an aging and average squad. Ndiaye seems to be off. Sunderland second season syndrome with Europe to juggle as well. Newcastle could also fall into the scrap. I think and hope that it’s going to be one of the most open PL’s we’ve ever seen, top and bottom, something like 12 managerial changes so far? | |

If we can be good enough to scramble 40 points, then it's up to fate whether we go up or down with that total.

Absolutely zero on that. Glasner is unreal and they won't be close. I would expect it to be between the three promoted sides, Sunderland, Fulham, Newcastle and Leeds. I suppose Palace could be drawn in, but probably unlikely. Spurs have strengthened so you'd expect them to be fine again, but worth noting they have obviously been in and around it for the past two seasons.

Blimey I really hope I am being too pessimistic but the nearer the big KO comes without us signing the required quality especially in midfield the more worried I am getting. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| Realistically for relegation on 17:48 - Jul 30 with 1938 views | vapour_trail | Leeds will kick on and finish higher up the table. There are lots of clubs with new managers, with a good few of them with European commitments as well. Lots of potential instability. Add Man City if they finally get sanctioned for their cheating. | |

Very true and nothing regards the signing of the required midfielders has happened, is there time for any quality midfielder players to bed in before the KO especially now that we know Azor and Taylor looks unlikely to be ready . We live in hope !!
| Realistically for relegation on 19:43 - Jul 30 with 1602 views | armchaircritic59 | There is quite often one unexpected one like Spurs last season. I wouldn't be too surprised to see around 7 or so in the mix, what with new managers, unrest at one or two clubs, teams having to compete in Europe etc. Could be interesting! | | | |

7 in the mix would be great might give us a sniff , Sunderland as someone has pointed out second season and European games that did for us early 2000 .

I'm not really convinced by Arbeloa. Only ever a caretaker manager at Madrid after coaching the youth side. Common opinion here is that he just let his players get on with it and didn't interfere as he didn't really have their respect (that's a big issue at Madrid and why Alonso had no chance there). Be interesting to see but he may be out of his depth even at Fulham.
| Realistically for relegation on 21:20 - Jul 30 with 1364 views | TheGentlemanViking | Leeds will be fine, Farke has built a really solid team there, Wilson and Trafford are brilliant signings for them. I think this could be the season Palace struggle, they had periods last season where they looked awful. Instability at the top, no Glasner, and aside from Wharton they don't have the usual clutch of top level players anymore. Same with Fulham, Arbeloa doesn't strike me as somebody who is going to thrive in the PL, Wilson and Jimenez are big losses, and you can't be pinning your hopes on an inexperienced 22 year old striker with very little game time or goal return, stepping up to the toughest league in the world. I think they'll struggle. | | | |

Just seen on Catalan TV the headline, Arbeloa's last favour to Madrid as he signs 2 bench warmers for 50 million euros. To be fair Gonzalo Garcia has something about him, like Ivan Azon but with goals. Palacios is a bit different in that I can't remember seeing him play and often not even warming the bench.

I can't see any of the promoted teams staying up. We have the best chance, however we still need at least 6 real quality players to be in the hunt. So far so good, let's see how we go about getting:- 2 backs, 1 central defender, 2 Def midfielders, and 1 striker.
| Realistically for relegation on 06:19 - Jul 31 with 856 views | MK1 | Fulham and Bournemouth are our best hopes I think. I recently moved to the New Forest and the locals down here think Europe will be a massive distraction for Bournemouth. They are expecting a tough season ahead. | |

To be fair, I’d forgotten Glasner had gone there. Depends how their over-excitable owner and he get on perhaps.
