I personally think that is a lot of money for a 29YO, in the last year of his contract, who has scored 5 goals in his last 43 games.
He's a good physical profile though and I think we should be looking for something similar. | | | |

Im sure he was on a list but given the limited games over last 3-4 years and age perhaps we put a value on him £10m top. I guess he will score goals given the chances. | |

Definitely on the list somewhere but further down. Interestingly we went for Jiménez according to sky and we know there was interest in Wilson. So with that in mind we clearly are looking for an experienced player. I wonder if we could get Woods out of Forest ? Would fit that profile. |

Unless they bring someone else in your probably right now. Other than Woods I can’t see who else we would go for tbh. I have nothing! Suspect we may have to look abroad for a more experienced no 9 this summer. I think we wanted a proven Prem player given we have been after Wilson ans Jimenez. |  |

I just wouldn’t have Delap full stop. He had 5 good months with us. Hasn’t done anything in a year and a half since. Just runs around clattering into people. I don’t understand this obsession in wanting him back. He really isn’t that good. His head was turned anyway and Chelsea would screw us completely over any deal. Think it would be a very expensive mistake if that is who Ashton and co are holding out for. I don’t think he would come back here anyway. Somewhere like Newcastle or Everton is probably where he would end up. I’d love to see the Japanese lad Udesa is it ? Believe he scored this weekend, looks a handful. | | | |
