I went to the entrance at the old mouldy ticket office area at about 1.40. It took five minutes to get in the Fanzone and there was no queue at 2.10 to get in the West Stand itself. The phone wallet/ticket worked instantly. There were one or two trickling in at kick off, including my seat neighbour, but very few in relation to those trying to see through the fireworks.
Processes clearly need to improve and I’m sure they will learn the lessons of today. |  | | |

Not all the turnstiles were operational today but they will be in future.
For the 16 that were supposed to be there for the West Stand, I spotted at least three of the numbered turnstiles that were seemingly not yet in use with barriers in front of them.
I also saw a bunch of people scanning their NFC, seeing the word ENTER come up and then standing expecting the turnstile to move, the amount of people who had to be told to push them was surpirisng. [Post edited 22 Aug 22:22]

From what I saw three weeks ago (a building site) I was amazed they had any sort of Fanzone today and that the new back of the west stand was useable. Lots to do, but I think the whole area will be a big improvement in a month or twos time along with access and people getting used to a digital ticket. | | | |

When I was able to go I was ‘designated table grabber’ i used to get the 9.24 from Benters Junction into Towen,arrive at Mannings for 10.45 and ‘grab our table’ those were truly the days.and man did we love that pub and table  .
We also had it down to a fine art of leaving Mannings and arriving at our seats just as they were reading the teams out. |  |
