| Tammy Abraham Update on 00:11 - Aug 28 with 9705 views | pointofblue | So it looks like the work indication earlier is us convincing Abraham to join us. Perhaps he's hoping an Italian club might come in for him after his record at Roma or something. We'll have to see what happens. With Watkins on the outside looking in, I'd have thought Villa would want to bring in at least one more striker before letting him go too. | |

Wonder if there's a time limit on the table before we will move onto other targets for him to decide. Assume someone leaked this to move the cogs more quickly.
| Tammy Abraham Update on 00:28 - Aug 28 with 9549 views | berkstractorboy | Hmmm the longer this goes the less likely this becomes? If Tammy not already convinced clearly holding out for another offer. I did think maybe he had been convinced by Palacios signing and hence the timing of Stuart Watson article. Maybe he has already decided and told Town and Fabrizio is hours behind or maybe Stu was leaked info as mentioned to try and smoke out a response from Tammy. Really did think we would have had a here we go by now if it was happening. | | | |
| Tammy Abraham Update on 00:34 - Aug 28 with 9472 views | armchaircritic59 | Hope it comes off, getting a world cup winner in this evening won't do any harm to the possibilities! I don't know what's going on at Villa, Martinez is off to Chelsea now. | | | |

Well to be fair I imagine since no-one expected this many outgoings for Villa especially Watkins the last week probably been a bit chaotic for them. He might of thought he was staying as a number 2 which considering European football means he was likely to get minutes. Might be that now with that change Villa have more incoming and his position has only changed in the last day or so. In which instance he is literally just seeing what is out there rather than taking the current offer on the table. Imagine if his agents gets no warm leads he will quickly accept just to save being out in the cold for a season when he really wants a final big contract as it looks less likely to now be Villa

With Villa having already agreed a club to club loan, I thought Villa had already made it clear to Tammy he isn't part of the plans regardless of ins and outs. Sounds like they are still trying to do deal for Leao (sounds likely) and Mateta. It's him hanging out for other clubs that worries me more ala Hackney 12 months ago. Hopefully there is another plan if not

| Tammy Abraham Update on 06:52 - Aug 28 with 8048 views | Blue_Uprising | This (or Fleming) really needs to happen, have my fingers crossed. I think Emersonn can and will be great but am very worried should he get an injury early on. If this gets done the window just surpasses every single expectation. I felt we needed 9+ potential first team players - but never thought we would get the type of players who we have. Also thought we would take ages to look cohesive but somehow GON (by limited evidence so far I know) seems to have fast forwarded that step. | | | |

Feet on the ground - There were bits that looked cohesive last weekend, but we were far from cohesive over the course of the whole game. The spirit looks fantastic though, and the individuals are beyond my wildest dreams for what we'd end up with this season, so I can definitely see it all coming together really quickly under a manager I grow increasingly impressed with every day. If we can get one, two or even three points out of the next two games it will have been a really good start considering all of the integration required.

| Tammy Abraham Update on 07:41 - Aug 28 with 7368 views | Westover | Playing here or another club, the only difference is he is almost certainly going to start but in a bigger club he's not, he won't get paid anywhere else. [Post edited 28 Aug 7:42]

Agree - not completed by any stretch. But more than a sum of individuals which was all I expected to see, and all we got last year for quite some time. Impressed how the recruitment this time has found round pegs for round holes and how GON has started to get them playing for each other from the off.

With all the variables indicated earlier in this thread that sounds like a crazy idea.

Having him on the bench for the Man Utd game on Sunday would even give us a boost psychologically; bringing Palacios & Abraham on for Luis/Nunez & Emersonn, at 65 minutes, would be immense, regardless of whether we are holding on or chasing the game.

| Tammy Abraham Update on 08:33 - Aug 28 with 6457 views | BloomBlue | He's always been concerned about a few things. He likes playing in European competitions, he (family) enjoys living in that area, he has moved a few times and wants to be settled. The loan is basically another short(er) term move. He just needs a bit more time to way up options. I have a feeling if it had been a permanent move with a 3-4 year contract he wouldn't have any questions. This also seems to be a loan agreement between the clubs without any prior discussions with him from the Villa side. | | | |

Of course they have. It’s back to Let him go he doesn’t wanna come, he’ll only come if Watkins goes, we need to move on now etc etc etc Tiring

| Tammy Abraham Update on 08:48 - Aug 28 with 6134 views | tractorboy1978 | Like to think he has a good relationship with GO'N having played with him at Bristol City. Not sure you get to the point of having an offer accepted without indication Abraham would like to join. | | | |

Precisely this, it's likely a case of we need to get him down here and sell the project, but his agent has likely indicated interest. Palacios likely the tipping point if there was any convincing left to do.

Not forgotten no And whilst you can absolutely look at other strikers. Imo we dont wanna be waiting around for his answer when theres only 4 days left With palicios it appeared he was interested in the move early on but we needed to work with the other club. Different scenarios Based solely on the words used in regards to the move as thats all we have to go on [Post edited 28 Aug 9:00]

I expect early on his agent was looking to flush out bigger PL clubs. I doubt coming here was top of his list or what he envisaged a couple of months ago, but he is here now.
