Will be interesting to see how they're compared to environmental groups who did the same and who mainly showed their faces. Were anti terror laws used against them in the end? Weren't there calls by certain sections on the right to run them over?

Let's wait and see.

Yet you've asked for more personal information today, after the impersonation incident, you don't see the issue here?

I would never ask anyone about their personal life on here, it's for them to voluntarily post or it's off limits. I think it's a hugely unacceptable thing to even ask.

I wonder if anyone of those that down arrowed me would be so kind to explain to me why it is a good idea ?

it's very simple,

would you rather see a reduction in the number of people that come over, but bigger boats used?

or more people in total in smaller boats?

labour are reducing the total numbers coming over in a way that the tories never have been able to and reform never will.

why does that worry you?

Just seen this shared as a pretty direct comparison.

Also saw the story of just stop oil protesters who were jailed for just planning an m25 protest.

2 tier justice indeed......

There are loads of other examples. That’s why I was wondering why nothing is being done by masked thugs also causing disruption. It could well be simply that the police didn’t think they had the resources to tackle far right extremists with a history of violence. That sounds logical, but we don’t know for sure. Questions should be asked of the police and we should be hearing why these thugs are allowed to gather and intimidate while hiding their faces. They’ll be breaking laws doing what they’re doing so the free pass seems strange to say the least.

Domestic terrorists simple as that. They should be treated as such. Same as the Palestine Action lot were.

We've had some good exchanges before. I don't like the applied nature of your post at all and hopefully you'll retract it.

maybe you could explain why you went to blm as an example

blm is an overwhelmingly peaceful mass movement asking for equality of treatment, yesterday was a load of blackshirts in balaclavas marching through kent towns chanting "the streets are ours", the opposite of equality

I suspect it's because the police didn't have the manpower to do anything about it. I suppose tactically they actually got it right because it passed off 'peacefully'.

When people glue/attach themselves to objects it is a slightly different situation. It seems inherently less safe for both them and the public to do this. My opinion is that they should just be left glued there!

A couple of other relevant things. We don't know the contact the group may have had during the protest, so that could impact the operational approach from the police. Do we know if these people/thugs have a history of violence?

Hope Not Hate seem to think was organised by Patriot Platform, the latest reincarnation of groups linked to Tommy Robinson, with various histories of violence and domestic abuse, etc. They look like a very obviously racist vigilante group who are coordinating similar local far right groups with the aim of intimidating migrants.

You've chosen not to, which is a shame.

As I said yesterday, there were a number of violent clashes during the BLM protests and so I used it as an example to compare to yesterday, where to date this hadn't happened. I am happy to include other examples such as Southport.

odd that your mind should go to a black-led march, when there's more violent and more recent right-wing protests that have happened.

On reflection I'm retracting my uparrow as while I think Balcombe probably chose his example unwisely, i don't think it's evidence he's racist!

ah yes, unconscious bias. There is a huge amount of peer reviewed, publicly available data which picks out its flaws. Not that it gets mentioned very often.

Do you have unconscious bias against people of a certain political view or background? If you believe the literature then the answer is yes, as we all do. But I don't agree with that at all.

I’d rather we didn’t have thousands of males coming into the country illegally at all tbh.

be better if you'd condemned violence from similar groups to those which marched through kent towns instead of making the leap to black lives matter.

I can’t see how anyone can argue with this point the boats are getting bigger!

What are they carrying now 250 something like that, how anyone thinks that letting all these unvetted men into our country is a good idea amazes me tbh.

But there you go a lot of people on here do think it’s a good idea.

So there must be something in it.

do you have a problem with thousands of males wearing balaclavas walking through dover?

zero asylum seekers is a fantasy that will never be achieved, labour have reduced this through international co-operation.

the international isolationism of reform or the new tories would just mean more small boats. why doesn't that worry you?
