Was heading towards Town centre & wife saw a large Charity Shop next to the bypass so dropped in.
I had a quick snout around then as I was walking out I saw in front of me a fella with a tracksuit top on, the design on the left shoulder looked familiar, so called out to get him to turn around sure enough, Ipswich training top.
Had a quick chat, Penzance born & bred, doesn't get to many games.
Having lived in London for more than 25 years before that Manchester 4 years & Lytham I'm always interested as to why people chose Ipswich & am used to hearing "FA Cup 78", "UEFA Cup", and a few players mentioned; Mariner, Wark, Muhren & Butcher being the most common.
This fella picked Ipswich in 1975, he & his 3 brothers were picking teams from a football annual or sticker book, he was into horse riding at the time so picked the team with a horse on the badge & 51 years later wearing the colours out & about in his home town 400 miles (?) from Ipswich.
It's an original reason for me & much respect for it.

I have a little story myself.
When on a tour bus in Madeira Mrs Scuzzer and I were sat next to an older guy wearing a PNE baseball cap. I said something like "I see you support one of the grand old teams of football, nice one" So he responds in the usual way in asking who i support. So I say Ipswich. He then tells me that Town wad his 'other' team. I asked him why. "My son is a dyed in the wool Town supporter and has been for 30 years." Asked him how come. " When my son was seven he asked me to get a pencil case for when he goes back to school. So I went to the shop and the only one I found to be suitable was an ITFC one. From that day on he has remained a Town fan."

Whilst walking back to the S-Bahnhof after the Union-Ipswich friendly, I was talking to a young lad from Rostock. Both he and his sister had convinced their granddad to drive them down to Berlin so that they could watch the match. I asked where Granddad was, and apparently he was waiting in the car.

I was at the Eden Project about a month ago with my family. Saw a family of Town fans there, kid sporting the new away kit and one or 2 of the adults in home shirts. My lad had Town shorts on, had a brief chat. We're massive.
In May I was in Bath. Rare weekend away with the wife without kids. Parked up at the airbnb and started walking into town along the river. I was wearing a retro Town shirt and an older gentleman stopped me and said 'I love to see that around here'. Turns out he's a Town fan, living there now.
