Lack of team celebration for 90th min winner .... 10:25 - Sep 13 with 2737 viewsBellevue_Blue

This isn't a negative post at all! They got around each other eventually but I think the understated reaction shines a light on a group that are still very much finding their feet and building relationships as a group.

Ultimately I think that's hugely positive ... 6 points from 12 with a group that should only improve their understanding of each other and get better.

Maybe, but I took it as more, 'we're pro footballers, we've done our job, don't go nuts, we haven't won anything but a crucial 3 points, heads down for next week'. I'm sure Town In 5 will show the joy!

I think it was a very positive play until the final whistle, there's still a job to do even if it only lasts another few seconds.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

All 3 goal celebrations were a bit understated. Emerson just jogged back with a few high-fives along the way. Leif just seemed to jog away after his headed tap in.

Think it probably shows the players are very focussed on the job and probably aware there is a lot more to do.

Very positive, they'll celebrate when they feel they have done something to get excited about.

May have been one of the "learnings" so far this season that we need to be in focus and switched on till the final p of peep at full-time!

I think they celebrated more after the final whistle, perhaps it was more "the game isn't done yet"...

Also after Leifs goal hes going bck down the middle of the pitch and Enciso redirects him off to the corner I guess to buy time to clear heads!... every team does it, even when Fatawu scored against us from the halfway line he ended up celebrating in our goalmouth.

Yup was a bit strange, I especially noticed Maeda after Flemming's goal he almost looked disappointed!

We didn't really celebrate any of the goals tbh which was a bit odd.

Oh well, celebrated in the end.

VAR is an issue too, they look unsure if it is a goal or not sometimes when there is a possible offside.

That first goal looked really close. Didn't see a great replay on MOTD.

Gad it counted though because the build up is superb

They just knew it wasn't done yet after the winner.

For the first two I think they may have thought VAR would find something wrong with it. Emersonn was not clearly onside in real time and even he looked surprised to be so open.

O'Neil talked of Emotional Discipline after the Man Utd game. That is what we saw

Play your game, stick to the plan. Do the job.

Plus I think the players knew that to be ahead against 10 men and not win would not be acceptable.

Maybe the boss has told them to tone down the celebrations until after the game?

Because we are not a plucky underdog, we know we should be beating small clubs like Palace, especially with 10 men.

Job done.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Live TV showed a good angle, it really wasn’t that close, the Palace left back was a couple of yards behind the others, Leif was well onside.

Certainly an interesting comparison to the scenes after Jack Taylor's winner at Wolves two years ago. Perhaps we have matured!

I don’t like over celebrating away, just riles up the home fans. Keep it cool and get the job done.

Because of VAR? I celebrated all 3 goals for a few seconds then stopped in anticipation of them trying to find a reason to disallow the goal

Maybe they just thought the second half wasn't up to the overall required standard I'm sure they'd set themselves. As ZF himself said in his interview, " we got away with murder a little bit ". No bullshit, just telling it like it is, and a very welcome breath of fresh air.

VAR had a good look at the first two, but after several angles they were able to confirm that Jack Clarke’s hair was all in place, so it was good

I noticed that. I thought maybe for some reason he just feared the worst from VAR!

Combinations of relief, frustration and focus on getting the job done maybe? It was pretty clear from the Gaffer’s and Zian’s post match interviews that they were really frustrated by how they nearly let the game go after the sending off.

I only saw the highlights and the interviews though, so could be miles off.
