I suppose at least it allows our non-internationals a decent chunk of time to train with our coaches and become more familiar with our system. Flemming, Ouattara, Scherpen for example.

It will be very interesting how this works out. In principle I like it. It gives international teams a chance to train together for a more sustained period around matches with less travelling required meeting up. It will also give teams a chance for sustained training with any not selected for internationals.
It should be better for us as we don't tend to do well after an international break so fewer of them is good if that continues! |  |

This break gives teams the chance to give a pre-season type catch-up session to those players bought in the last few days of the transfer market.
